no. relax.

we aren't allowed to tackle at all. Monaco can fully back pass to keeper and he can pick it up though

yeah you are not allowed to foul. and back pass wasnt as obvious as you make it seem like.

it was obvious as day , it was the only option he had to prevent our player picking up the ball

Dude the ball went straight to the fukin keeper. It was a controlled back pass

both players were making a play for the ball, cant be a backpass if it came from arsenal player.

arsenal fans complained for years about having difficult ties second round. they get a favorable matchup and still bottle it.

blame this one on mertesacker and giroud imploding in the first leg along with miraculous defending from monaco at points. Can't allow 3 goals at home and expect to go through.

also **** the away goal rule forever and ever.

AWFUL performance by Leverkusen. I like Roger Schmidt, but this is awful.

They wont win a penalty shootout. Dont have the mentality to do it.

Today's Monaco side was no way near as good as they were in their first game against Arsenal. Gunners should have eliminated Monaco, they had plenty of chances. Perhaps not all great 100% chances, but they could have easily advanced to the quarter finals.

Aren't they playing exactly the way you want German teams to play, though?

This is apparently Arsenal's favourite meme:

Image

As an Arsenal fan, so frustrating. Yet another year they do absolute garbage in the first leg and come so close in the second leg. This team just can't get it right in the first leg and have only themselves to blame for their knockout yet again.

monaco didnt really impress, they were bit lucky and also played against very flawed team. they should be a relatively easy matchup for any team for quarter finals.

That's the price you pay for underestimating an opponent. It's a real shame, because they were expected to finally advance past the round of 16 after 4 consecutive years of being eliminated in the early rounds of the knockout stages.

No, they are scared as hell. That's not the German way.

Do they really think they can win a penalty shootout with such a soft mentality?
