At least it's good to get it out of the way early.

What's the story behind the fact that Vertonghen didn't even make the bench last week?
Didn't read anything about an injury, so it seems odd because he was pivotal last season.

Hopefully we score early against Burnley, otherwise it's going to be a difficult one.

I honestly have no idea. Poch described it as 'tactical', but it made very little sense to me.

Slightly worrying, I love Jan and hope he isn't unsettled.

City are a different class

That was some goal, and we can't get out of our own half

Entertaining game between Chelsea and Leicester. Chelsea started out great, but in the end I felt they were fortunate to get a point. Maddison dominated that second half. Nice to see two teams really gunning for it.

No way we finish top four playing like this. It's been a pedestrian start to the season to say the least.

Failing to beat a beleaguered Newcastle side at home is an embarrassment.

Was out and didn't see the match. Shocked at the score because I thought Newcastle were relegation strugglers. What happened?

Bruce set Newcastle up to counter and frustrate Spurs. Joelinton scored from a poor defensive sequence by the Spurs backline, where he essentially found himself in an acre of unmarked space in between the center halves after a nice ball in. After that, they had 9 men behind the ball and showed good organisation to keep us out. They did what they came to do and did it well, I won't discredit them.

But Spurs were dismal, looked shapeless at the back and toothless up front. Lucas had a volley opportunity to an open net that he put over the bar, Kane scuffed an opportunity from a good ball in from the right. Besides that nothing really happened, there was very little penetration. Kane had a decent penalty shout that was reviewed and turned down, but it would have been soft in my opinion.

Not good going into the NLD.

Vertonghen still not in the team.
Unbelievable if you ask me.

i like tammy abraham and mason mount. reminds me of lampard-drogba duo.
and the way chelsea plays is very good despite their young and restricted squad due to transfer ban. However, their highest rank would be the 4th in this season.

The transfer ban really has no effect on them. They have so many players that they've off-loaded quality players this summer without needing to bring anyone in.

Mount and Abraham look good but if I was looking for a young midfield player and an attacker for England I'd go to Leicester.

Choudhury and Maddison for midfield and Barnes for attack.

yes it is obvious that they have quite a wide roster. they have long term injured players like rudiger and odoi and they just got rid of omeruo, zappacosta and david luiz too in the past 10 days.
