To be fair in the 1st half he made a few smart runs forward to try to get behind the defense but they never seemed to pass to him.

Fürth today…expect another hard fought game.

Cant say I am feeling confident about this because our lack of competent wingers and a CF might once again hurt us against a deep standing opponent.

Not the best performance, though.
Fürth are going to have a hard time staying in the league. They are dreadful.

Great to start the season with 6 points.
Going to give us a boost to get away from the relegation spots.

The rumor in Frankfurt was for quite a while that Ben Manga, instead of Fredi Bobic was responsible for the successful transfers from Eintracht in recent years...

Looking at Hertha transfers this season...

Bought:
Serdar
Belfodil
Jovetic
Boateng
Ekkelenkamp
Richter

Back from Loan:
Selke

Sold:
Cordoba, Cunha, Netz
Loan: Lukebakio, Maier, Löwen, Ngankam

Feels like the key to success for Hertha was pretty easy.
- Get some continuity (not too many new players) after they had a bad last season but finished it strong avoiding relegation
- Find a replacement for Cunha/Cordoba
- maybe add one strong midfielder
- strengthen that weaksauce defense (at least one good FB and CB)

Instead they look like they are panic mode at the start of the season already.
Way too many signings that might not even improve the team.
They have started out bad. Wait another few weeks until the first signings realize they are not going to play the role they were promised. Gonna be a toxic atmosphere once again.

3rd spot for now with 9 points in 4 games. Already two more than after 17 games last season.

Niakhate out with injury today, though. Hope its not too bad. We need him.
