Espanyol captain Daniel Jarque Gonzalez found dead at the age of 26 because of a heart attack in team's Italy camp. RIP.

Damn 26 is too young to suffer a heart attack, especially for a top athlete. RIP.

that's sad, RIP.

the worst part is that every year this turns out to be news when someone should be really looking more into the players health and try to foresee this kinds of illness.

I've been watching a youtube video called all the goals of France 98. I came to the conclusion that Bergkamp was probably the smartest player I've ever seen. Maybe even smarter than Zidane. It's like he could read the opponents' minds and knew what they were going to do. He made everything look so easy.

Bergkamp is a great player but Zidane to me was always one step ahead of the game. He was already in situations which would occur a second later to other players and thats what made him so special as a player.

Remembering Bergkamp, Pires, Viera, Ljungberg and Henry in their primes reminds me of how great those Arsenal teams were.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Zidane was my favourite player growing up and I never thought anyone came close to him, especially in terms of reading the game. And after watching these vids, I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm an Arsenal fan and I've seen Bergkamp play many times, but I missed his prime, so I didn't quite understand when I heard from other Arsenal fans that he was our best player ever. Now I understand what they were talking about.

Anyone else fascinated by the Dutch? From Ruud Gullit to Bergkamp to Sneijder to the various Van-somethings, they're a country with fascinating players.

^Yes attacking wise and entertainment value.

But they need some players on defence, Ooijer as the starting CB ain't gonna cut it.

I love Gordon Strachan, he's one of, if not the most wittiest football manager ever.
