Makes me happy to see Del Bosque so frustrated. Hope they fire his ass and put an end to the tiki taka now.

Chile/Holland should be fun. The Dutch will need to play a better game than they did today or they'll be seeing Brazil in the round of 16.

I can't imagine Spain not playing possession + passing soccer. That is waht they have done since I started watching.

Either way, that will be tough for Brazil.

So you dont think there is some possible Cameroon Eto'o magic against Brazil?

Lets see how that group unfolds...Right now though Netherlands vs Chile will be a battle of whoever wants to avoid Brazil if this is decided before the game

Don't count Spain out yet... with that "defense" however, they need 5 goals to win 5-4.

Why do people hate on tiki taka? It's produced one of the most dominant stretches of international football ever.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Some of the players on the field right now are likely playing their last world cup. Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta, and the CBs will be well into their 30's by the next world cup. The young stars- Isco, Alba, Carvajal, Muniain, Deulofeu, Jesé, Azpilicueta, Thiago, and Koke have attributes that are much more suited to vertical football- speed, technique, and an eye for the run/long ball. They're doing themselves a disservice by not at least trying a different approach.

Possession is one thing- Bayern 2013 played with possession, but tiki taka has been exposed with Bayern and Spain this year, as well as Barca last year.

It used to be interesting but the last couple of years as teams learned to counter it, tiki-taka teams started playing defense through possession. Basically just passing the ball around with no real point. It's boring as **** now.
