If we stick with the 4-2-3-1 my lineup would be:

-------------Jozy------------
EJ-----------CD--------? (Shea or Zusi maybe... Donovan would be great at this spot if was playing)
-----Bradley----Jones----
FJ---Beisler-Gonzalez---Cameron (Beasley was better last game but Id still prefer Fabian)

I say we do away with that mess and move to a 4-3-1-2, especially since JK loves his slow wingers.

---------EJ----Jozy-----
-------------CD---------
Jones--Bradley--Zusi

same backline.

I just dont have any confidence in anyone scoring other than Dempsey. Id love to see what Jozy and EJ could do together for a near full 90, but JK keeps taking one off for the other.

back 4, IMO r set with
Fab - Besl - Omar - Cam (with Cherundolo)

would love to Make/Force Jones to be our DM, destroyer
but he and Jurgen dont see it that way
i dont have a prob with using Edu at DM
but that pushes jones up and either sacha or zusi off

IF, that were to happen we could pair Bradley and Sacha in the Midfield
and increase our possession

idk what to do on the wings
we need Donovan and Shea at 100%
otherwise, it doesnt matter who we put out there
might as well go skinny diamond, and get more possession out there

same with Forwards, its Dempsey and whoever. i like Gomez cause he will work hard and go all out. he'll create more possession than the other options.

----gomez - demp
----------sacha
------brad - zusi
----------jones
fab - bes - oma - cam

doing a skinny diamond, at least this way, we force teams to attack from the outside, and try to get crosses in
id prefer that over having them combo pass right through our D

*****
somewhere we switched from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1
i enjoyed seeing

wing - cf - wing
-----cm -- cm
---------dm
fb - cb -cb- fb

ej ------ demp ----- gom
------brad -- jones
-----------edu
fab - bes - oma - cam

this way, jones can do whatever he wants, which is what it looks like anyways
Edu, is the true DM, and doesnt attack
Fab can bomb up the sideline when he can

that back line just needs a true stay at home DM for the protection

******

this is my preferred formation

wing - cf - wing
----cm -- cm
--------dm
fb - cb -cb- fb

Can we please stop with the stupid Beasley at wing back experiment? He's not in good enough shape to play the Fabian role, he has poor positioning and defensive instincts and he plain and simple is not dangerous on the break...the whole reason were playing him there.

Eddie Johnson needs more burn. Not afraid to say he's our best winger now. Doesn't hurt that Zusi is really a deep lying CM playing outside mid.

- Jones had a hell of a game, MOTM. Altidore too, that was the best I've seen him play in quite awhile.

- Evans was a nice surprise at RB today. He's still a fringe kind of player for me but it's nice that he brings versatility.

- Gonzalez struggled yet again. If it becomes more of a concern, maybe you look at Cameron there.

- I liked Fabian Johnson in attack today but he probably needs to play LB most of the time, Beasley and Castillo won't cut it.

I fully agree.

I thought Jones was very good today as well, setting up the first 2 goals.

Jamaica vs Mexico tonight
8:30 CT (i believe)
can get a sneak peak at Jamaica before we play them on Friday
**

was surprised and happy with Evans at RB

to get Beasley OFF the field,
i would move Fabian to L.FB
Cameron on to R.FB
and Evans to L.CM

then we can sub on Holden there, late in the game
or EJ.

Id just start EJ and Zusi on the wings and be done with it. Both have shown to be the best we have there.

Kickoff in less than 4 hours at "The Office" in Kingston.

I'll be interested to see if they keep Beasley and Evans at fullback with Fabian in attack.

WOW! Thank you Ricketts for sliding over the backline with ball in hand. Looked like he could have stayed inbounds. Very fortunate to pick up 3 points there.

Don't know how, but we escaped with three points. Hopefully this luck follows us back home.
