For Dortmund: they played great, but they were too inefficient up front to beat the (atm) best team on this planet. I hope they can take some momentum into the huge CL game vs Napoli. They MUST win or their season is as good as ruined.

Calm down. Dortmund played without their whole starting defense for the majority of the game.

true , but I still feel there's a huge gap between the sides that will only get bigger as bayern build an invincible and indestructible team and bvb lose players.

Re: Pep

He made some gutsy moves in this game, which all worked out. By subbing out Mandzukic and Boateng (ST/DF) for Götze and Thiago (MF/MF), Bayern suddenly overloaded the midfield, opening up the way for Götze's goal. Then, he subbed RB Rafinha for CB van Buyten, shifting Lahm from CM back to RB. By doing this, Pep neutralized Piszczek. Well played, Senor...

Edit: maybe Pep has some tips for this particular guy in the VIP section...

BTW, the Bayern fans landed a nice, clean diss vs Dortmund. In reaction to the famous "Auf den Spuren des verlorenen Henkelpotts" ("Looking for the CL trophy") choreo of April 2013, the Bayern fans tonight rolled out a huge banner with "Immer noch auf der Suche?" ("Still looking?").

BVB will close that gap now that they can spend like a big team. No longer will they have to scramble to sign Friedrich or bank on a midfielder covering at RB for half the season due to injuries.

Starting Martinez as #10 was a pretty terrible move, though.

Hildebrand and Mielitz are having a titanic duel for the title "worst GK of the Bundesliga". Hildebrand made a strong case yesterday, but Mielitz is absolutely determined not to get beaten. How else would you describe his current "performance" vs Mainz?

Is Timo Wener going to look for a move? Sounds like he's having a good season and he's even better than 07 Carlos Vela on the new FM.

Yeah he should probably stay and continue to develop for at least a few years. Seems to have a great potential; great time for Bundesliga and Germany.

Neither is he ready for a move nor is stuttgart a bad place for him to keep learning. Maybe he moves to a german club that's playing in europe like whichever of Leverkusen, Schalke and Gladbach don't make it to the CL. But i think he could still use another year for the swabs before looking for a move.

Bayern will probably extend Boateng and Kroos until 2019. Another step in the right direction to build a dynasty in Europe lol.

Both Bayern and Dortmund suffer CL-related injuries. Lahm's thigh has "tightened up", and Bender has broken his nose. Both are questionable for the next BL gameday.

Must be at least the 5th time in his career that Bender has broken his nose.

Read that there's a mole in the Bayern locker room that's leaking tactics to Bild.
