What the hell was he doing anyway? Just take it to the bottom left or bottom right corner and it's going in 80% of the time. Even against great keepers.

Leno just couldn't rescue leverkusen in penalties against a better team. Gotta tip my hat to them, I don't like them and was rooting against them but they fought hard against one of the toughest teams in europe and Schimdt did a very nice job with his subs. Bummed for Leno cause he was close on that final penalty and could've stopped the first one that went in, but both would've been remarkable saves and he already pulled one of those off against koke.

Anyway, hopefully next season gladbach and schalke are in over leverkusen.

It's the weakest part of his game, but he has improved his control of the box significantly and is one hell of a shot stopper. If he can work on that next he can solidify himself with Lloris in that tier right behind Neuer, de Gea and Courtois.

First goal came later than a thought and the gap to the second wasn't as big, but sounds like Arsenal followed the script...like they do...

BVB will be missing Sahin so it'll be very hard for them. He hasn't reached his previous form since returning, but he still plays a vital role as a pendulum from the 6, and none of the replacements have the skill to fulfill that role. And without that Ilkay isn't as well supported to drive the ball forward, and they rely more on Hummels' long passes and their pressing...which hasn't been on point this season.

Looks ominous for BVB, but they have an away goal and just one goal to make up, plus it's hard to see that Juve D not conceding at least one to Reus or Auba. So it's still quite possible, especially if one of the stars has a great game, as I can see Ilkay or Reus stepping up and really playing great tomorrow.

It's about time for Leverkusen to get rid of him. He doesn't offer any skill required to win games in European competitions.

Germany's record in penalty shootouts is a myth. I thought it was dead after Bayern lost to Chelsea in 2012 but i see people on twitter keep mentioning it.

Most of the penalty shootout wins were against ENGLAND.

He blew that penalty hard, but bringing him on helped them win more balls up the pitch and get some more relief when Athleti were really smothering them. I gripe about Keissling a lot to and agree that his time as their star has passed, but today he came on and did a good job...before pulling a keissling at the very end.

Yeah, he won a couple balls. Not like that created any chances, though.
If you want a guy who can keep balls up front & win headers you can as well put a CB into the CF role. Probably the CB is a more dangerous goal threat than Kießling as well.

Lol. Cab driver is an Arsenal fan from Morocco. Made fun of him the whole ride (I'm drunk) and he smoked me out on a hash joint. You guys have some great fans among the bad ones. Really nice guy. Will probably grab a brew with him sometime.

It's better than not bad. La Liga is definitely the top league at the moment and i think most people acknowledge that. If you'll notice, the tune in England has shifted to the Premier League being the most entertaining league.
