Why do people hate on tiki taka? It's produced one of the most dominant stretches of international football ever.

I hate it because it made games boring in recent years and that people give useless possession way too much credit now.

"ZOMG we shoulda won we had the ball 65% of the game , we dominated!!!!" then you look at numbers and they had little shots , chances created and any positive possession of note.

Yup. As long as you use your possession to actually create chances that's fine and it's fun to watch. But often it just ends with a million passes and no chances, which is just boring and pointless.

Spain slowly tightening their grip. Chile hardly has any ball possession.

Vidal looks like he is soon done for the game. Not running smooth anymore.

Chile with way too many turnovers, but Spain's passing is so SLOPPY. Like two blind boxers hitting air.

spains playing better, but too little too late at this point.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
