Aston Villa's Rashford is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a hamstring, according to David Ornstein.

Shame that Nottingham Forest seems to have hit a wall as of late. Their top-5 chances are dwindling.

Worst kept secret this season. Wouldn't be surprised if he is booed this weekend. He's done himself no favors with how he handled this.

What's going to happen with the RB position.

Bradley can handle that for an entire season?

That's a huge question, stormi. Personally, I would like to see the club replace TAA with a starting RB, however, all indications are Bradley will be given his chance.

I'm not against Bradley, but he struggles to play more than a handful of matches before an injury sidelines him.

As of now, outside of Wesley at Flamengo, I have not heard of any links to a RB.

I like Bradley as well but we definitely "need" starter-level replacements in each fullback position. Kerkez out left and no one on the right seems likeliest.
It's time for 5 refs.

With the draw at Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest sit 6th on 61 points, two behind Chelsea. The final spot in the top 5 may very well come down to week 38.

Chelsea:
- @ Newcastle United
- vs. Manchester United
- @ Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest:
- vs. Leicester City
- @ West Ham
- vs. Chelsea

Villa are still a possibility for 5th, although would need 2 losses at least for Chelsea.

Villa -

@ Bournemouth
Vs Spurs
@ Man United

Anything less than 3 points vs Bournemouth and it's over though.

Aston Villa has the "easiest" schedule remaining of those in top-5 contention, however, as you stated, it's not in their hands but that of Chelsea and/or Nottingham Forest to falter.

Yep...that Chelsea win over Liverpool was massive for them

According to Ornstein, Bayer Leverkusen's Frimpong is interested in joining Liverpool.

Not sure what to make of him, though. Certainly checks several boxes LFC would be interested in -- young (24), counts as homegrown, €35m release clause. However, he's more of a RWB than RB.

Is it just me or has Arteta lost the plot?

In his UCL presser, he stated, "Winning trophies is about being in the right moment in the right place. Liverpool have won the title with less points than we have in the last two seasons. With the points of the past two season we have two Premier League [titles]."

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the season isn't over. Liverpool currently sit on 82 points through 35 matches. In the 2022-2023 season, Arsenal had 81 points, finishing on 84 points. Last year, Arsenal had 80 points same time frame, finishing on 89 points.

I'm a little confused...

I've also read this and that Slot would consider playing with formations a bit more. I think Frimpong and Kerkez can both play wing-back roles & perhaps have a 3 at the back situation.

Arteta is just salty.

I hope Slot comes out and says something like, "Arteta is right. Arsenal have not had enough points to win the league this year because they have not won as many games as us. In fact, that is not just the case for this year, not just for the last 3 years, but the last 23 years. Sometimes it is about being in the right moment in the right place. Sometimes it is about winning games and having a good manager. Maybe if Arteta did his job better, the title race would have been closer."

Slot won't do this because he is too classy, but Arteta is just a whiney baby. His club have spent 791,800,000 Euros on building his team in exchange for one FA Cup. He shouldn't be talking about right times and right moments.

I couldn't think of a better figurehead to represent the state of that club in the modern era.

In a constant state of delusion. Perpetually evading criticism.

Subconsciously lowering standards with every passing excuse.

Mikel Arteta is the Arsenal fan experience personified.

Funny, I just read his comments on a stand-alone article, and posted something there about it.

Arteta needs to learn to respect the game, and respect the competition. He's turned into the league's sulky little baby. He's always got something to say....some excuse....some back-handed compliment (or outright slight) making everything about them...instead of just taking the loss on the chin, and moving on. Prob why they haven't improved.
