Not a proper reaction by the fans but I hate these divers, too.

Diaby back vs. Dortmund. Could provide a nice boost if he can stay healthy.

Walcott getting better and better. Less drifting in and out of games, was a constant threat. His crossing has improved immensely.

Gervinho sucks. Wasn't even running after balls today. Clean through on the keeper and doesn't even get a shot off.

Gervinho just needs to work on his finishing and keep is composure in dangerous positions. Besides his iffy finishing he has been a very good signing for Arsenal.

This is what Wenger said after the game:

on Gervinho's form…
He is vital for us because Robin likes to go to the ball and Gervinho likes to go into the space so they always push defenders back. That gives us space in midfield to create for Robin. He was a bit less sharp tonight but overall I am very happy.

Plus his ability to just glide past defenders is really good.

No, he sucks. Just because we had two forwards who never beat defenders in Nasri and Rosicky for half a season doesn't mean that Gervinho's good just because he can beat defenders. All the blogs and podcasts like him but he sucked for Lille and he sucks for us. Not good enough.

Saw Alan Davies do stand up last night. Very funny but not as good as when he talks about Arsenal.

I am not sure how you can argue a guy who has 2 goals and 7 assists sucks. Like I said he is iffy in his finishing, but he routinely gets behind defenders creates chances for other players.

Well, I admit I was overstating it in he saying sucks, but he's not been very good. He should have scored in pretty much every game. Missing sitters like that doesn't bother people so much while we're winning games, but if we lose a few he's going to catch a lot of flak if he keeps blowing those.

He creates some chances for sure, but there were a few times yesterday when he was neck and neck with an opposing CB for a ball, and he just gave up. He can beat people for pace, but his technique, decision making, composure, and finishing are all inadequate at this point, and if he's not going to give maximum effort as well then I have little time for him.

i'm late but i didn't get to watch the dortmund game until last night.

song's move to set up the first goal was one of the greatest things i've ever seen. incredible.

i'm happy with gervinho. i didn't expect a perfect all around player but i think that having him on one said and theo on the other messes with defenders. that's more speed than most teams can throw at you.

Poor result today, would have liked to see a bit more squad rotation today. I get the desire to keep the group that is playing well together going, but we can't play the same XI every game, and they looked wiped today.

Looks like we'll see Park, Frimpong, Chamberlain, and Yennaris tomorrow, hopefully Coquelin too.

Rvp, Ramsey, Song, and Walcott won't play for sure.

Didn't deserve to lose today. But when the other team team has a striker that cost more than the entire starting team it was always going to be hard. City took their only chance of the game and Arsenal did not.

Marco Fabian (Chivas player) will be a Gunner in January. His relatives, apparently, leaked the information. This is similar to the Chicharito's situation where his family leaked the United signing before anyone.

Interesting. Different player from either Javier or Vela by the looks of things.

Strengths

Fabian possesses many of the vital qualities for a successful attacking midfielder. He boasts tremendous speed and great technique in addition to impressive ball control. He is a very agile player with characteristic nimble foot-work who is capable of dribbling past opponents with ease. As such, he is an entertaining player to watch and relishes taking on defenders, who find it difficult to keep up with his footwork. Fabian is also versatile enough to play comfortably in every attacking position, which is testament to his footballing ability and also makes him an important weapon for the team.

At his current club Chivas, he usually plays on the left wing but likes to switch places with his team-mates during play, making it harder for opponents to track him and close him down when in possession.

When he is deployed out wide, Fabian likes to cut inside towards the centre or head straight for the penalty area in order to fashion a shot on goal or a chance for one of his team-mates. Although he is not exactly physically imposing, he actually has a very powerful shot at his disposal and is more than capable of scoring from distance. In addition to his scoring ability, Fabian is also particularly dangerous tearing down the wing with the ball at his feet, which usually ends with him crossing an inviting ball into the box.

Sounds exactly like the sort of AM Arsene likes to convert to wide forward.

Arsenal will finish this week in 5th place, unless Liverpool beats Fulham by three goals.

Done

Love the amount of gooners in the squad now, with Chesney, Jack, Keiran, Carl, Frimpong, RVP. They show a real love for the club, and the attitude of the side just seems changed.
