HIF trying to explain how it's Kane's fault that our midfield and full backs were leaving gaps all game

Another thing that stood out is the set pieces. They had so many and didn't look like a threat.

The game against Iran will be tight.

It will be a bloodbath. Getting out of the group stage at our expense is pretty much their dream scenario.

Oh yeah, the political ramifications are intriguing.

I'd love to see the US beat Iran and Wales beat England.

I hope after this game, US drew at least some respect in England. There were plenty of **** in the media and on social media talking trash about US, talking about how many goals England will score. They can STFU now

I'd say the opposite.

Good draw for England. Bad for the USA who blew a chance to win.

Iran is perfectly capable of beating the USA.

EDIT: I want to say it's a good result for the USA. But England are happier with the draw for sure. They were awful.

It's a good result for the US because most people (albeit mostly English media people) expected England to thump the US. The US are better than Iran and I doubt Wales can beat England. The US control their own destiny, they just have to make it happen.

They'll admit the US were the better team. But will be more focused on hating on Southgate.

Gg USA, England were so poor they should’ve sacked Southgate after the Euro finals in my opinion

Yeah, what I meant was that England were actually really HAPPY with this result. So in that sense, the USA didn't capitalise on being on top.

I wonder how they feel about the guy who can't get a game for Chelsea being the most dangerous attacker for this game.

I didn't see the match but I'm sure that Kane ran around off the ball and did nothing all game. England's game should be about pressure but with Kane it will never be. Looking at the stats it sounds like a truly boring game - a total of 4 shots on goal - 3 by england who are playing a second/third level nation.

Sounds embarrassing for England, the Mighty US and football in general.

Still England should be able to qualify alongside the mighty Iran now.

Most of us don't care about Chelsea or Pulisic, tbh

I'm only messing, anyway. Kane was okay at best, he held the ball pretty well and had a few nice moments of interplay, but not much else. I actually agree with you and think you're right.

One of the core issues is lack of midfield and imagination. Hopefully Maddison will help find the forwards when he gets fit.

Why would that game get respect? 1 shot on target, 0 goals, playing against a **** team from a country going downhill with less than a fifth of the population and whose education system isn't based on sport's based cheating. At least according to netflix.

Maybe US fans will finally realise that they really haven't progressed since Kasey Keller learned how to play football in Leicester.

It's quite simple.

The US need to beat Iran.

England virtually through. For some odd reason, at the World Cups, goal difference trumps results between the teams, so Wales would have to beat England by like 4 goals to overtake them.

This explains the reason why England were perfectly fine with this result.

Better teams would surely manage a win against either England or Wales? Better teams would surely get more shots on target. I guess the US were better in the middle of the park or something ( maybe their hairstyles were better or they had more followers. 1 shot, no goals is not better, be honest.
