Didn't expect anything, but this performance is really really pathetic.
Unacceptable.

Weird league this season. Of course, there's nothing weird about City dominating and running away with it, but the inconsistency among teams feels like it's at an all-time high. No doubt as a result of COVID and lack of fans.

Chelsea had been defensive stalwarts under Tuchel conceding, I think, 1 or 2 goals in his entire tenure up to today. Then goal shy West Brom go ahead and batter them. 10 men or not, that's a baffler.

You guys see the keeper Sam Johnstone's assist for the Baggies' first goal? So good.

Spurs only getting a point against Newcastle is bad for them.

Why wasn't that a penalty against Maguire?

Was it in the second half? I missed it and will watch later. That said, Maguire is allowed to totally annihilate players on set pieces.

Oh wow, just saw brief highlights of it. Looks like a pen. Should it then be a red too?

Story of the season. Having the lead but throwing games away because of our absolutely horrible defence.

If there was a champions league for bottlejobs Spurs would qualify every season.

Other thing is, they score 2 goals in the first half but can't score more the rest of the game?

It's a few things. Mourinho wants the team to defend compactly with the lead and hit teams on the break, but the squad doesn't really feel like it's able to play that way effectively. Nor do we have the type of midfielders to play posessionally. It was working early on in the season but teams can easily gameplan for it now. We have no real creative midfield player to find outlets, and no quality defenders to dig in when necessary. Ironically, Eriksen and Vertonghen could have helped with those issues this season, even if the latter's legs retired a few years ago. Meanwhile we continue to carry around players like Winks, Dier and Sissoko who don't have the quality to play for a team with CL ambitions.

Doherty has been absolutely horrendous as well, which is surprising to me as I felt like it was a good signing at the time. Should have been clued in when Wolves fans were happy to see the back of him.

It's been a bit of a **** season. Still, there's still a faint chance of top 4 and the league cup, so it could still be redeemable yet, but given that it's Spurs any hope will soon be cruelly curtailed.

The amount of luck Ole has had over the years is astonishing.

Well Manu get the win but otherwise I don't suppose I can complain too much about the weekend. Hope that Everton and West Ham get losses today. Wins for either would be worrying. The fight for CL places is certainly going to be top class this season.

Yeah, it's wild. Relatively speaking, we're still not that good but the results are coming. I think the team's depth and fitness is getting better, as we're outlasting teams in-game.

Getting close, just need to sort out a couple positions still, Ole needs to find his balls, and then we'll be one of the best.

I really think United could be an elite team with one or two new signings (CB, DM) and a proper coach. No disrespect to Ole who's doing an acceptable job, but it feels like they get by on their individual talent rather than any kind of strategic nous or cunning.

Having said that, I won't slag Ole too much as we have you lot at the weekend. Who knows how that'll end up.

Ole may similar to Dwane Casey at the Raps in that he's getting the team to operate an play in a manner conducive to winning... the day in day out grind. Keep pushing, keep pushing all the way to the end (and beyond :P lolz brighton). But I agree that he lacks the chops to be top-level. I'm willing to see what he can do if we mostly shore up the holes, like you mentioned above and also a real striker (Cavani's old). Although maybe Greenwood is that guy... it's certainly not Martial.

It seems that VAR refers big team decisions more often than other teams unlike at the beginning of the season. I guess the status quo will remain and the refs will make sure of that.

Lucky, lucky Liverpool. that looked like a couple of mid table teams struggling through a match and yet the goal puts them 4th.

I have. Thought you were decidedly poor against a Villa team that didn't have their one great star. A draw would have been a reasonable result. Think you'll make top 3 though with the final run-in you have compared to others.

Moyes is manager of the season.
It's insane what he's doing with West Ham.
