A bit disappointed as I am an all out Africa supporter no matter what nation. Good for the USA. Outside of Africa, the USA would be probably the next nation I'd support. So congratulations to them for the points, and hopefully they shock some people and actually move out of the most difficult group in the WC this go around.

I miss that Eto'o is so much older now and Cameroon hasn't found someone to carry the torch. Nigeria has slipped post their earlier stars like Okacha.

Swiss isn't even an ethnic group, they're a combination of Italians, German, and French people.

Yeah Cameroon and Nigeria don't impress me not any more. Ghana blew their chance at qualifying today unless they get fortunate. Need Ivory Coast to put up a strong showing now for the continent

No it's over for Ghana. If the US had lost today, it would be over for them as well. This is too tough of a group.

Cote D'Ivoire is our best hope. They're really good this year too - possibly the best they've been. I think they'll make it through C but I can't see them going further unfortunately

No one cares about their origin, they were born in Switzerland, brought up in Switzerland, they are "real" Swiss.

This was a make or break game for both sides tonight. Both Ghana and the US would be content with drawing against Portugal and especially Germany.
