Yeah but I think Napoli are the best team.

Excited to see inter hopefully get crushed by them this weekend.

They'll most likely be without Cavani

Complete screw job. I turned off the game after the second yellow and I'm not even an Inter fan. The first yellow wasn't even a foul and the second yellow/penalty was outside of the box and didn't warrant a card. Shameful by the officials.

absolute domination by Roma, against a very in form opponent in Atalanta. didnt think wed look as good as we did against them. bojan and pjanic looked excellent, pjanic has already proven his worth, he is consistently one of the hardeset working players on the pitch.

Hernanes is such a great player. He has everything to be the next great midfielder, he defends, he scores, he dictates tempo, he can shoot and pass from every range, great IQ... Shame Mano Menezes prefer Ramires, Elias, Fernandinho...

its gonna be interesting to see just how far Inter can fall, because i think Ranieri is a poor manager. i think Milan's downfall at the moment is injuries, once they get healthy, theyll be back up at the top again. but i just dont see it with Inter, i dont see the talent in the squad that is going to help drag them back to the top. of course they do have some top talent, obviously, but i dont think Ranieri is the guy who will squeeze it out of them, he'll just play a safe lineup and hope for the best. thats not what they need imo. they need a shakeup of sorts, break the slump that they've seemingly fallen into.

god help them if Sneijder wants out in winter, and gets his wish. they definitely need to bring in some quality in the next transfer window.

If Sneijder were to move in the winter window it will be tough to get a good offer for him since he will be cup tied. Rather ride out the season an wait for the summer.

Ranieri is always known to be a good coach who will neither win the league nor drop out of the top 4.

Best rivalry in all of calcio today :). Both Lamela and Stenk are healthy and Lamela will hopefully have his debut, while Totti is unavailable. My guess for the lineup:

Stenk

Rosi/Kjaer/Burdisso/Angel

Pizzaro/DeRossi/Pjanic

Borini/Osvaldo/Bojan

I don't think Lamela will start, but rather come on later and play the false 9 role.

My prediction is 2-0.

after an exciting 3 games yesterday, all of the serie A games this morning ended 0-0 besides Bologna winning 2-0.....

Rome derby should bring some action though. always a fun one to watch.
my prediction is 2-2

Klose hits the winner for Lazio in injury time.

I know it late, but hardly anybody posts in here unfortunately, and I liked this summation of the derby, taken from another site:

We really should stop with these Barca model comments, Luis Enrique is a young and inexperienced coach who is still discovering himself as a coach. There is no Barca model for us to copy, plain and simple. It's very obvious that he's making changes and adapting himself and his ideas to the reality of Italian football.

As for the derby, in my opinion the mistakes were simple:

- Starting Kjaer over Burdisso. Burdisso is the leader of the defense and unless he's on one leg he needs to play every match. Take him out and confusion immediately ensues. Kjaer is also a bit of a train wreck. He's extremely strong in the air, but everything else about him is a bit of a liability. Granted Rocchi dove like he was jumping into a pool but it was obvious the ref was against us so why go and raise your arms to such a mediocre player?

- Starting Perrotta over Pizarro. Perrotta is a curse right now, he's got no business in this midfield. Yet coaches love him for some odd reason. Granted Pizarro isn't a 100% fit, so I can excuse Luis for that one. However I feel like we need to sign another midfielder in January because the midfield is just not functioning properly.

- Removing Perrotta instead of Bojan to introduce Burdisso. Some might praise his desire to win the match, but Bojan was a mess. He turned over the ball that lead to the penalty. Had we kept Perrotta on instead of Bojan we might have been able to reduce the pressure some after they tied.

Luis Enrique also in my opinion seems to be pretty damn unlucky most of the time. It feels like in every match he's dealt some card that forces him to change things prematurely. Rosi's injury in a match so tense as the derby was not needed, we wasted an early substitution and when it came time to make the 3rd substitution you find yourself hesitant and wanting to wait as long as possible. Incidentally Rosi's injury shows everything I hate about the player. I lack of intelligence that is almost unbelievable. To go running full speed into a player stomping down on his ankle with your studs. It's almost ironic that he managed to break himself doing it, because another match and another day he might have taken an early shower for it.

I'd like to add that I'm really loving the way Osvaldo is coming into his own right now. I think he's scored a goal in our last 4 games, and he's generally just looked much more dangerous, really starting to turn the corner on him. Still waiting for Lamela's debut, as good as Pjanic looked in the trequartista role, I think he's more suited for the midfield. We look seriously lost and just anemic when we only have one creative player in, and Lamelas presence along with Pjanic will make us much more dangerous.

Di Natale passes Giovinco as leading scorer of the league, and Udinese passes Juve for first place.

Inter actually won a game and Napoli-Cagliari ended 0-0

Lecce was up 3-0 at home vs. Milan at halftime, then Allegri subs Aquilani and Boateng in at half. Boateng gets a hattrick with a couple beautiful goals. and Yepes, who started for injured Thiago Silva, scored the game winner.

Lamela scored a nice one in his first game of the season to give Roma a 1-0 win over Palermo.

Udinese 15
Lazio 14
Juve 13
Cagliari 12
Napoli 11
Roma 11
Milan 11
