Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

That's really the dumbest match I've seen in a long time.

I'm guessing Lalas is a Greek name

No shame in losing to the eventual champs. We should've pushed instead of sit back after the equalizer. 3 of the 4 German goals were world class finishes. That 3rd goal that Sifakis misplayed and K. Paps got beat on by Klose was the backbreaker.

We have a fabulous future for these upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Every Greek should be proud for a very passion-filled run. Santos subbing on Lymbe was sort of our white flag and a retirement sendoff. I'd much rather have put on Fortounis or Fetfatzidis but I respect the move.

Ninis choked massive donkey balls and is the reason why we were down at halftime.

Sifakis played a hell of a match and I can't blame him for that 3rd goal.

The wet pitch in every tournament match really pissed me off.

The Greek goalie seemed rather weak today. First goal by Lahm a good goalie would've saved and Klose's goal was definitely his fault. :dontknow:

Lol why do you guys hate Greece?

I grew up in California & the history textbooks here always regarded Greece as our forefathers because of Democracy.

Unless you attend College in this country, you never even hear about Turkey (their rivals).

Because they play unambitious football, they tried to actually score a goal about 3 or 4 times in this game, got a good chance, scored a goal and drew a penalty on those couple attempts. Too often they don't even bother trying to score and just punt to Samaras to hold the ball for a few seconds while everyone rests up to defend again.

I have no problems with counter attacking football, if you do push numbers forward when you break and actually try to create a goal.

After 4 Portugal games, for those of you who watch our games outside of Ronaldo :)
I would like to know your opinion about Joao Moutinho

78 min "I'm starting to hope that England go out in an honourable defeat against Italy," says Phil Sawyer. "Anything but face this German team in full flow."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012 ... reece-live

1) Don't flatter us like that. It'll only make that inevitable defeat against Spain/Italy worse.
2) I'd rather play England than Italy.
3) If we loose in the Semis, I want England to go to the final instead of Italy.
4) Remember 1996? If Portugal = Czech Rep (second in a tough group, met again in the final), then we have to play England in the semifinals and deal them horrible soul crushing defeat after penalties. It's only logical...

Great game to watch. The 1st three goals were scored by guys I've always really admired. It couldn't have happened to more favorable players. Only 4 goals to go for Klose. He better not retire (from the NT) after EC.

Can anyone tell me what the late penalty kick was for? I had to run to the bathroom and I didn't expect anything to happen in the meantime but upon my return Gekas was about to kick it.
