Spain's window closes tomorrow. So technically he still could go.

Looks like we made it!

Now I just hope the guy is a true professional, and get's back to being a Liverpool player, and concentrates on whats best for the club. They guy has alot of talent....so a great liverpool season with him at command only helps his case.

Next game....Man $ity

Always enjoy playing the rich kids (truth be told...we were throwin some cash our ourselves this off season).

So we play Arsenal, and then have about 13-14 days off......and then it's 6 games in 15 days.

Notice we play Newcastle Oct 1st. Good to see them back! Didn't feel right without them. Alan Shearer was their striker right? I liked that guy a ton. Good chap-ass, salt of the earth player. Respect.

Even in recent history - my life - Liverpool have always been a far bigger club than Man City. They have always been the Everton to Manure.

De Bruyne and Mane are my two favorites to watch. Mane was a great get. Salah too.

I was disappointed that all of England missed out on Hirving Lozano. Especially if his transfer fee was only 8 million. He was linked to Man City. But it would have been shrewd for Liverpool or frankly any team.

Howdy......aways great to see more fans. I agree....Mane was a fantastic get. So far I am really impressed with Salah. I don't know who Lozano is, but I'll have to look him up. If he was a defender....then yes...we certainly shoulda got him. Our defense is not so great right now.

Yea he's not... just a bargain winger. Although there is a Mexican defender who I really enjoy that'd be cheap this winter. He's even scored a couple goals recently for the Mex National Team. Maybe I'm missing something with a basketball background, but I would think Santos is a selling team and he's blowing up.

I can't exactly put my finger on it, but I don't like Arsenal.

I agree, up until about 5 years ago. They were bought by that billionaire and he poured hundreds of millions for a few years. I actually don't really dislike Man-$ity.....but they certainly did "purchase" their titles a couple years back. They very much followed the Chel$ea model.

Which hey.....it works. If you can do it, then great. It's just always a little more satisfying to beat those types of teams. I'd prob put down Chel$ea as the only team I actually hate (hate in the 'sporting' sense, of course) in the EPL.

Just wow.

I was outa town in San Diego this weekend at some industry confrences....but I saw the score and a two minute "highlight" of the game. That was brutal.

I can't even begin to rant about it....there's no point. Klopp....someday your gonna need to figure this defense thing out, or else your not gonna last.

And then this.

Well....so I don't know anymore. I don't think this guy is the coach to take us anywhere. It's not a fluke anymore....this is a habit. Whether it's preparation, or player attitude, or whatever, we simply can't beat the lower teams. Not regularly.

Like the guy's attitude tremendously....and I really hoped we'd hit a home run when we got him. Alot of good things, but I think we need a better coach. This is gonna be a long season. I hope the owners sit with him this week, and light the fire. If we don't make the CL again next year....he's out.

I know he's pretty popular, but we're spiraling down at this point. He's not the answer.

You say that...but then who do we replace him with? I'm not sure we can really find someone better at this point.

I know. I hear what your saying.

But at some point in a relationship, you know this isnt the guy/gal your gonna marry. They may be the best relationship so far....but it's going to fail eventually. I just don't think Klopp's techniques will work in the EPL.

Give him till the end of the season. But if no CL....then replace him. Will the next coach be better? Maybe not.

Well, a win on the road is a win on the road. No point in holding on to any issues. We won on the road, and that's all you can ask.

Big save by Mignolet. Move on to the next one.

Agree with you.

Mignolet was poor other than the peno save though.

Klopp seemed pretty disappointed with the performance. Hopefully, he makes changes. He threw Lovren under the bus... Rightfully so.

According to an article on Soccernet....we're ready to let Coutinho goto Barca.

Disappointing that we come out and lay this giant turd-egg...and realize we got nothing that will make him want to stay.
So now who has the leverage?????
You can kiss that 200mil goodbye. Maybe we negotiate something like 50?

What a big waste for everyone. Coutinho....Barca....and us. A massively missed opportunity, and just poorly played by us.

I mean.....wasn't it really clear to everyone we needed defense?

Getting tired of the spiral. Over and over and over. I go back to that post I wrote a year or so ago...that with teams like ours....it's about windows. We gotta build...and if we think we have something.....just pour all in, and go for it. Make the top....or don't, but then let the waves recede back into the ocean....and wait for the next one.

We've had about 3-4 opportunities over the last 15 years.....where we came in 2nd, or close close 3rd. I don't remember ONCE making any sizeable splash in the transfer window any of those years.

If we weren't gonna go for it.....why didn't we take the 200mil...and let Coutinho go challenge for something? It's comes across and dumb, and a bit mean.

Man I'm frustrated with this team. I just don't know anymore. I'm finding it harder to care. They don't seem to care all that much, so why should I?
