They're trying to counter themselves to a goal/victory, so it makes sense Van Gaal wanted a player with pace to replace RVP. Klaas is a threat inside an opponent's box, but would not be suited to play in this system.

Van Gaal might sub him in if he ever decides to change the formation to a 4-3-3.
