Just curious, but I hope the third player you're referring to isn't Nasri.

The club released a statement saying they plan to hold RvP to his contract, can't see it happening really. It would be a mistake to keep him after the statement he made. Get him off the team ASAP, sell him, preferably out of England, but I'm fairly sure he'll be going to City.

Not really concerned about Walcott tbh, he hasn't been worth the money really. Ton of potential, but I wouldn't be sad if he didn't re-up either. I'm not worried about Wilshere really, he's here for the long haul, I think. I'm more worried about it affecting Song and Sagna, along with potential transfer targets. Doesn't look good having your captain come out and trash the manager, executive, and club.

Usmanov and Moshiri are trying to get rid of Kroenke.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... vp?cc=5901

I'm surprised it's taken this long. Kroenke is in the process of ruining the legacy of one of the greatest clubs in the world because he values his own profit over winning and keeping his stars. If these guys are successful, we would be able to compete with the Man City's, Chelsea's, Real Madrid's, and Barcelona's of the world in the transfer market.

This seems pretty strange because none of the Arsenal supporters I knew had a great deal of belief in Usmanov until recently and Kroenke is known to be an owner who loosens the purse strings for his teams to gain a foothold.

Basically Arsenal's decision to move from Highbury to Emirates cursed the team out of luck.

Usmanov has a fairly shady background, from what I understand. But, I can't say I'm a fan of Kroenke or Gazidis. Unfortunately the board situation at the club is a pretty big mess. Can't see it really being resolved any time soon either.

I think some people had forgotten me a little bit. I could sense that when I scored my hat-trick against Wigan.

I had the feeling that some people were surprised that I’d ever come back and do that for my club. Reading one or two articles was quite interesting, because apparently a few people didn’t really think that I would come back as strong a player as I’d previously been.

I don’t have the inclination to go anywhere. This is the best team for me to be in. The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways, but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt.

I’m sure I could win things at another team in another country, but would it feel like our trophy, my trophy? I’m not sure it would. Anything we win here will come from the heart and that’s what I want. It’s my dream and I see no point in speaking about other teams when I have these dreams. I think other people know that about me; I’m just hungry to win with Arsenal and that’s it.

RvP when he returned from injury in 2011 and started his run of form with Arsenal.

I've seen a few sites mentioning that we're actively pursuing Lewandowski as a replacement for RVP...but I'm wondering why we're not trying to find a 4th center back who is better than Djourou...

Well bringing in a keeper isn't a surprise to me...Almunia is gone and both Fabianski and Mannone have said they want to leave... I don't think even Arsene Wenger is delusional enough to think that Shea and Martinez are sufficient cover for Szczesny. I'm slightly surprised that we're going after someone like Hugo Lloris, but Szczesny has been shaky at times. I was expecting a veteran keeper like Craig Gordon on a free transfer (or Brad Guzan on a free would've been ok).

Marouane Chamakh looks like he'll be headed to Fiorentina...unless Wenger screws this up too.

Press here in BCN are saying that a trade Villa + some cash for RVP (he's friend with Cesc and well, you know, its Barça any good player will appear linked to us in offseason) its on the table... if that has the slightest of truth in it... what do u gunners think? despite Villa's injury (a broken tibia is always recoved at 100%) and age (32) i'm pretty sure that is a great trade for you guys and bad for us :/

I'd rather just see us sell RVP and buy Lewandowski. He's cheaper and 3 years from now, will probably be better.

I doubt you can get Lewandowski for what you'll get for RVP. Dortmund don't have any other starting caliber striker after the sale of Barrios and they're on strong financial footing and so don't need to make a sale.

I think we really need to start getting into selling mode. We've got 35 players (counting a few under 21s) and only 25 spots. If Wenger shows a commitment to dumping all the deadwood players then it might show RVP and Walcott that we want to win (and it might give us enough of a surplus to pay their salary demands).

We still haven't managed to get rid of very much of the deadwood.

Denilson went on loan.
Vela likely to join Real Sociedad very soon.

That would put us at 33 "first team" players...still way too much.
