Really hope Kolasinac leaves Schalke eventually. One of my favorite players for choosing to play for Bosnia but on the club that I despise most (along with Bayern).

Didavi is a name who'd be a nice fit for VFL if they want to pick up a couple of guys to spread around the burden of the departing players; so that replacing KdB isn't put entirely on the shoulders of their priciest purchase. Get him and Ziyech/Praet/Toulemans to fill some of KdB's role, and sign Martial/Volland/Embolo to further upgrade the front 3 and they could remain deadly with RR marauding up that left wing.

No_20 wrote:Draxler making the move to Wolfsburg would be even more brutal for Schalke fans than Neuer to Bayern. It's one thing loving to Bayern, but to Wolfsburg? He wont be able to go back go Gelsenkirchen.

I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't mind cashing in on Draxler after missing out on the CL and failing to dump the salaries of KPB, Sam and Huntelaar; especially cause his buyout has expired for this window so VFL would have to give them even more money to get him. He's plateau'd for Schalke in recent years because of his injury problems and the coaching, so he seems like he could use a change a of scenery to take the next step; di Matteo really did a lot of damage to his development, as he did to Meyer's growth as well...it makes me so mad that they picked such an awful coach to handle the growth of so much exceptional german young-talent...I've wanted Wenger to pay the buyout fee for Draxler and give him the Van Persie treatment since Julian accepted he wasn't going to go straight from Schalke to Real. If he stays with Schalke, I think he likely never warrants more than his buyout again unless they discover a time machine to go back and fire Keller so that they can hire Tuchel like I begged them to do from the moment Tuchel stopped coach Mainz.

Plus it's not like schalke wouldn't still be overflowing with young creative talent coming from their academy and youth policy...he says, staring at Goretzka and the paltry sum Bochum had to accept for him after all of the court dates... Meyer / Sane / LeGo / Geis / Ayhan (if he plays the 6), as the guys who've already broken through to the first team, PEH on loan from Bayern, and Avdijaj / Boyamba / Gasilin / Plavotic / Mickels / Skrzecz (although I still think that last name was made up by his parents to troll naive germans) / Fiore Tapia still in the academy or on loan.

WIth those kids; ECMC and Di Santo as nice vet forwards; Aogo, Hoger and Neustadter as solid vet midfielders; and a defense that always manages to be just a little health-&-experience away from becoming a strength; that team could return to the CL spots if the new coach can bring the most out of all that young talent...Even with draxler heading out and them only getting someone like Kostic/Oulare/Keita now that Shaqiri is no longer available; rather than re-investing a larger chunk of that money into a Martial/Embolo/Kokorin.

If he's fit he's still going to run a ton, press emphatically, do pretty well at taking guys on on the flanks and deliver some solid crosses...if he's fit. More often than not now he's playing injured or is still working his way back into form from an injury. But he's a player I really like for his good two-way game and versatility (as he's played RB before and I think he'd make a good box to box midfielder)...even if injuries have taken their toll and he may not be as sharp in tight spaces as Tuchel wants his wide players to be.

Bayern loan Coman from Juve, option to buy next summer between 25-30M. Exciting move for the bayern fans as they are well on their way to being set for the departure of Robbery with Mueller, Costa, Coman, and if he gets over himself, Kurt. This has been a pretty massive summer for them. Costa, Vidal, Coman, and Kimmich joining up, and them getting good money for Shaqirir, Schweini and the PEH loan to Schalke. If they set up a future Laporte signing as well this will have been an absolute home run for them...though Rafinha remains imminently upgradeable.

Plus Juve seem to be getting closer and closer to securing Draxler as they and VFL battle for his signature.

I stream or go to a soccer bar because I don't have cable.

First Row sports is great for streaming games. The Bundesliga moving to Fox Sports has also been spectacular, Fox Sports 1 shows at least a game a week (sometimes 2-3).

Re Leverkusen - Bayern: Why arent they giving Leverkusen an extra day after having played a big CL qualifier in the midweek? What is the problem playing it on Sunday?

Sky ruining German football as well.

What are you talking about? Mittwoch - Samstag is normal rhythm for Leverkusen players. They'll be ready to play.

Wednesday-Sunday would be even better. Schmidt has basically only had 1-2 days to prepare.

He's been sent to the reserves and I doubt Pep would take him back anyways, while Sammer openly stated that Kurt has been told way too often that he's a good player by people around him.
The kid needs to fire his crappy agent(the same one as Klostermann of Leipzig) and hire one that actually cares about his career while also sticking to working hard and improving.

BTW: Franfkurt takes the lead at Stuttgart and Mainz at home against Hannover.

It's probably because we've got to play the late game on Sunday(even with Dortmund playing EL-Qualification) for whatever reason...

Hannover have to be the top candidate at relegation at this point. God damn mediocre team.

Draxler to Juve for €26M + X
Perisic to Inter is said to be done as well

Ingolstadt just took the lead at Augsburg and HSV is leading at Cologne.
Augsburg could have some trouble this year thanks to that terrible Thursday/Sunday rhythm and possibly a bad start to the season.

They still have a point more then we do. :x
Though, any team coached by Frontzeck has a good chance to be relegated and they haven't really added much.

Anyways, Stuttgart could go down as well, given Zornigers "tactics" and "defensive schemes".

Hamburg throwing away the game at Cologne and Aytekin at it again.
Terrible penalty call by him and also giving that red card to Spahic.
Modeste scores from the penalty and Cologne's now leading HSV 2-1 with one man up.

Can't say I don't enjoy Hamburg getting screwed by Aytekin after all the beneficial treatment Hamburg has gotten in relegation games in recent years.
