Three points and eleven goals clear of 5th place.
Now we've got to try and not get beaten by seven at Darmstadt next week.

BTW: Bremen vs Frankfurt will be epic next week and Stuttgart looks done. Pretty crazy given that they looked to be save about five games ago and some even talked about a push for Europe.

Dont lie folks, it's absolutely alarming for German football that a club like Stuttgart(and maybe Eintracht/Werder) will be in the 2. Liga while die Bullenschweine will get promoted tomorrow.

Bad for the ratings, bad for the interest, bad for the atmosphere.

Dont care about ratings or atmosphere or whatever. its about time clubs like Stuttgart and Hannover go into second league for a year or two given how incompetent their managements have been in recent years.

Shame Frankfurt have somehow pulled it of today but tbh their management isnt near as incompetent as Stuttgart or Hannover...they just had poor luck with injuries to key players this year.

There's a problem with that statement.
Unlike most other plastic clubs, Leipzig actually has a somewhat solid fanbase(not surprising given the size of the city and with not Bundesliga team in the whole state) and they even get solid numbers on the road.
They'll also have Hasenhüttl as their next manager and that should fit in well with that young team, resulting in some interesting matches etc.

So yeah, it's not gret to have another plastic club in the league, but fan interest shouldn't be an argument against Leipzig.

As far as those clubs goes:
Sure, it's not great to lose them but at the end of the day, missmanagement will catch up to you at some point and that's why you, as an HSV fan, should pray to every god known to men that you weren't punished for the incompetence of your clubs front office.

Well, that pic looks way worse then how things went down.
And the whole crowd even chanted "Besides Grosskreutz, everyone can leave".

So no, he won't need his mom but needs to get ready for 2nd division football next season, unless there's a miracle next Saturday.

BTW: I'm not sure how folks could take everything he says seriously, given that everyone knows that he's not the brightest guy around.
He probably just didn't like the taste of the original turkish Kebab and run away to Germany because of it.

@Foye
A draw next weekend and you'd qualify for the group stages of the Europa League. I think that would be great result and would be a nice way to sent Heidel off to Schalke.

@Det: I really dont want the Europa League at all. There's no money to gain. Wouldve taken 4th spot for the slight chance at CL football and huge money but EL is unprofitable for a club like Mainz because max. 18-20.000 people will show up for mid week games. Plus the roster usually isnt deep enough for three competitions.

I'm with you on that. But what I really really really don't want is finishing 7th and start the next season like 3 days after the final game of this season to qualify for the EL against some teams from Azerbaijan or Albania (which we probably wouldn't even do).

Majority of Leipzig's fanbase are families. They dont create any atmosphere.

They dont even have Ultras.

A few hundred ultras in an empty stadium in Stuttgart don't create any atmosphere either.

I'm not a fan of RB Leipzig, but the people who act like the end is near now need to calm down.

I get that but I think you could've solid numbers during EL games given that you're most likely in pot 3 or something and might play someone like United, Inter etc.

Though, that Thursday - Sunday rhythm is just crap for the league games.

I've lived in Leipzig for some time(when they were playing 3rd division) and I've also attented(back then) and watched(this season on tv) some of their games.
The atmosphere's actually quite good and you don't need Ultras to create anything, if everyone keeps singing along.

On top of that, they're also showing up with good numbers on the road, unlike teams like Hoffenheim or Wolfsburg.

The reason for that is that everyone in Leipzig knows that this is the only way to ever have somewhat solid football in their city, given that Lok Leipzig and Chemie Leipzig are run by idiots with fanbases that only care about beating up each other for no reason at all.

It's official.
Freiburg and Leipzig are promoted to the Bundesliga while Nürnberg will play either Bremen, Frankfurt or Stuttgart in that Relegation Matchup.

Also, Dresden and Aue are back into the 2nd Bundesliga.

People are furious on Transfermarkt, Twitter, Facebook etc. If there is one thing people in Germany can unite about is the hatred to RB Leipzig.

Bayern Munich....Audi/Allianz/Adidas etc.

Do you hate them, too? No, you dont. So why complain about Leipzig? Is it fear they will force your Hamburger SV out of the league or what?

Well, him being a HSV fan makes it actually even more funny.
They also got their sugar daddy and wouldn't be playing Bundesliga anymore, if it weren't for Kühne's millions and him buying HSV the licence for the league two years ago.

Also, Schalke just extended their contract with Gazprom, Dortmund became a joint stock company quite some time ago and so on...

Had a nice game against Stuttgart. The two games before he was utter sh*t, though.

He will be bought, though. One or two years more experience and he'll be a monster I hope.

There are rumors that Sandro Wagner could return to Bayern.

This has to be a joke, right?
