Think PSG is down for the count, unless Ibra goes superman on them lol

not this game but if someone who has watched BM before Pep arrived and since after, you could a distinct difference in overall play, formation, tactics, execution etc....
its not the same BM team was quite a destroyer
but also, they have been riddled with injuries here and there, that should be counted for.
Yeah, I agree that they were better before Pep. Just wanted to say that he wasn't the reason they lost today IMO.

Re: 2014
We deserve respect.
The only team in CL without any lose.
And i think we just pass Bayern in goals scored. The best attack.
That said, is still going to be really really dificult to pass to semi finals.
Special without Danilo and A.Sandro.

No, I couldn't say he's the sole purpose but his regime, his coaching influence, decision making etc... that has affected the BM squad to decline from the stature they themselves set themselves up at...
today, I only caught the last 20 or so minutes but it was ugly... Porto looked great attacking....

Definitely. Whoever doesn't respect this team is going to have a hard time beating them. You have a very good team that puts in a lot of effort.
It's going to be really tough for Bayern to advance.

Freakin' injuries, ruining the game.

Nah. They are basically done. Not a very good team without Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Robben and Ribery. Lahm and Thiago at only 70-80% doesnt help either.

Re: 2014
Porto will miss both Danilo and Alex Sandro because they picked up a yellow card today. They're one of the best fullback pairings in Europe. Their replacements are very dodgy. I'd play Indi on the left. On the right... it will be difficult to patch together a solution. Porto are also missing a speedster that would cause a lot of damage to Bayern - Tello.
Then... as you saw today... Neuer fouls Jackson on his way to goal... and only receives a yellow on a clear red card situation. This to say that, in Germany, I can't see Porto have a fair shake from refereeing(past experiences in similar situations tell me so) - I hope I'm wrong about it. They'll have a monumental task to survive all the pressure and produce a clean game - usually teams like Porto are good for a few blunders and hand the game to the 'bigger rival' - ironically, much in the way that Alonso/Dante did today.
Bayern played well in the first half(minus the horror errors of course). Second half, much like Real Madrid yesterday, they didn't have the same energy, got punished with a third goal and were unable to react. If Bayern are missing Robben/Ribery in the second leg, I'll feel more positive about completing this extraordinary achievement, without them they lose a lot in therms of variation in their game. They take players on, while at the moment, they're more predictable with Gotze/Muller.

Re: 2014
Well, seems like Porto has watched how Gladbach did play Bayern and got a win as well.
Will be interesting to see if Bayern can turn that around without Robben.

Past experiences like the error at Old Trafford which led to a CL title for Porto?
