---------------------Stekelenburg-----------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------
Lahm--------Carvalho--------Juan-------V. Bronckhorst
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------Schweinsteiger---------V.Bommel-----------
Müller----------------Sneijder------------------------
---------------------------------------------------Villa
--------------------------Gyan----------------------------

I'm positive there'll be more Spanish and less Germans and Dutch in the official team though. :D

Iñiesta and Xavi didn't really stand out too much this tournament imo, my third pick for central defensive midfield would actually be Xabi Alonso.

Just put Villa on the left because that frees up another striker, and he played there most minutes anyway. I picked Gyan but you can argue Suarez, Forlan, Klose and imo even Keisuke Honda there who was brillant.

I had Salcido in mind too but Gio's goal scores points. :P

--------------------------Muslera--------------------------

-Maicon-----------Piqué-------Juan-----------Coentrao-

---Muller-----Van Bommel------Iniesta-----Sneijder---

-----------------------Forlán-------Villa--------------------

Van Bommel has been a total douche buts its hard not to argue that he aint been effective. He may make some mistakes but his total douchbaggery makes other teams mad and takes them off their games. Evidence: Brazil.

I sole liberally from the post above too :D Was a very well put together list, sorokii!!

Reasons :

Casillas is the best. Final Point.

    Ramos > Lahn

Puyol+Pique : the best defenders and I don't want Gio VB. :wavefinger:

Schweinsteiger and Xavi Alonso have been the best workers in the midfield. I reserve Van Bommel and De jonk for a good job guarding Discos doors.

Xabi + Iniesta are the best MF creatives, and they are perfect for Messi. How you can put here Sneijder or CR-ZERO? ... please ... :nonono:

I trust a lot in Cesc. Robben is a coward ahead the goal and he blind him when he has the ball.

Villa is the Top Scorer. ¿Forlan? ... I know perfectly Forlan and he is a third row scorer in the League, and Klose is finished.

You can see I am a reasonable and balanced person. How you can say this? :dontknow: And yes, I choose 9,5 spaniards ... but you don't must forget Spain could win a team formed by the rest of the world.

GK: Casillas
DEF: Ramos, Mertesacker, Lugano, Maicon
MID: Özil, Iniesta, Schweinsteiger, Sneijder
FW: Villa, Forlan

Considering a 4-4-2 ofcourse.

Choosing from the players in the WC, but not necessarily the best actual performances (guys that played badly are excluded though)... Thus, the team I'd most like to see together that is still somewhat realistic and has a lot of future potential:

-------------------------------- Neuer --------------------------------

- Lahm ------ Piquenbauer ---- A. Friedrich ------ Fucile -

------------------- M. Veloso --- Schweinsteiger --------------
- Müller --------------------- Özil ----------------- dos Santos -

-------------------------------- Forlan --------------------------------

subs:
GK--- Butt
DEF--- Salcido, R. Costa
MID--- Afellay, Torrado, A. Song
FWD--- Aguero, Bendtner

Coach: Jogi Löw

Would be exciting to watch.

Stekelenberg
Ramos, Lucio, Lugano, Coentrao
Schweinsteiger Xavi
Muller, Ozil,
Forlan
Villa

No real standout goalkeeper for me. Tough to leave out Iniesta and Sneijder.

Considering Cesc has played only a few minutes this world cup you've gotta at least bring on Sneijder, Müller or Forlan. Right now, I'd choose Sneijder over Fabregas 10/10.

Come on guys, honestly, there should be no other GK than Casillas up there. Since game 1 he saved Spain's neck game after game.
