There really is something a bit Shearer-esque about him, it's great to see a Spurs lad and a young English player in general causing some waves around the footballing planet. Doesn't seem to happen often.

For me as Lithuanian fan it was a painful match to watch. However, HurriKane's debut made it somewhat better. I do like the lad and hope he's there for many splendid games to come.

As for Lithuania - we were playing without team leader Novikovas and most promising young talent Spalvis. That does not explain why our defenders, experienced as they are, suck so badly. One of the issues might have been too high a line - parking the bus while sitting deep was a better option, in my opinion.

What a strike Andros Townsend! 4 Spurs players on the pitch for England now.

Walker is a total liability though.

Both teams were woeful, really. Italy are a shadow of their former selves and England are... well, England. Italy created some good chances in the first half, and England only managed to gain some attacking verve when Townsend and Barkley came on later in the game.

I like Darmian though. Seems like quite a player.

yea neither team was impressive and it's strange to see Italy without any real stars in the midfield and attack. But Italy played well in spurts and i think deserved the win considering misses by Pelle' and Immobile.
Immobile needs to leave Dortmund and remember how to score, and I can't describe how much I miss seeing Balotelli in Azzurri. Crazy how all of 2012-2014 the papers were saying Italy is too reliant on Balotelli to win games. Oh Mario :(

Darmian was one of Prandelli's best moves. He didn't play any qualifiers for the World Cup and ends up being a starter and playing very well. He is welcome at Juve anytime.

Balotelli is in really terrible form for Liverpool, so I'm not sure if we'll see him again any time soon. I think his position in the Italy team is made worse by the fact that he supposedly annoyed a lot of the stalwarts with his antics, most notably De Rossi.

Argentina didn't have Messi but they haven't looked good. Without him they may not make it out of their group.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Great free kick by Pogba and Mbappe looked class but France didn't look world cup winners this week. Sadly they tend to step up in the tournaments.
