Best player in each league

Post#1 » by Slava » Sun Mar 6, 2011 3:54 am

Who would you rank as the best player in each league right now?

For me,

English premier league: Vidic
Spanish La Liga: Messi
Italian Serie A: Ibrahimovic
German Bundesliga: Robben (when fit)

Add more leagues you follow or watch closely.

A fit Robben is the most spectacular player of the Bundesliga, but atm, the best player of the Bundesliga is Nuri Sahin.

EPL: When fit/on form, guys like Fabregas, Rooney, Drogba and Torres are pretty good, but I think this season Nani, Tevez and Nasri have impressed the most (I'll throw in Cech as a homer pick here because we've the best D in the league). However Player of the Year goes to Vidic for being the most important player on the best team in the league. Obviously things can change if Arsenal wins the title in next couple of months.

La Liga: Messi. Best player in the world.

Serie A: Haven't watched much of Serie A this season, but heard Zlatan's been playing well. Instead started watching Bundesliga more

Bundesliga: I've only watched top 3-5 teams, but I liked most of Dortmund squad, Vidal, Gomez and Petropia(sp?). Not sure where that last guy on HSV ranks though. Maybe he only looked good when I watched :dontknow:

If you take fitness/injuries into account Fabregas isn't even best at Arsenal.
Agreed Vidic gets PotY but different argument imo :)

Umm.. no, when everyone's fit and on form Fabregas is still not better than Gerrard or Drogba.

I'd say Sahin but can't go in based on one season I thought. Even Gotze has been pretty good.

Disagree there, he certainly is better than both now, imo.

He's been a good player for a while, is still really young, and is in the middle of a break out season, he's worthy of getting PotY this year. Might not be next year, but this year he's earned it.

Pitroipa sucks. He would be unable to score a goal even if the keeper sleeps.
Vidal is a great player, Sahin as well. Robben, Schweinsteiger and Ribery are the players with the most potential in the league but they're all in a slump lately.
I still think Gomez sucks.

I'm not too familiar with Serie A but I would prefer Eto'o to Ibrahimovic. Zlatan is skilled but he flops and whines way too much.

Vidic? Chicharito!!! :D

And on the Serie A. What about Cavani for Napoli?

And yes, Span is hands down owned by Messi.

Who could be the best player right now for the Mexican League? Maybe Martín Bravo of Pumas or Lucas Lobos from Tigres. When fit it should be Humberto Suazo hands down.

Actually so far Chicharito has the best goals scored to mins played ratio in all time premier league history. he already has 14 for the season and I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 20 soon.

Pitroipa? No F#!&ing way. Homeless man's Okocha... on a good day. Any average coached defense can take him out of the game.

So far, it's either Sahin or Hummels, perhaps Robben when he's on.

For England, I guess I'd go with Tevez, but haven't seen many games this year.

I saw him play against Mainz or Hannover and he was playing exceptionally. Sounds like that was his career game

He's a guy that will put in effort and run for his life but in the end fail to take advantage of his effort. He's one of the most dangerousless offensive players in the world. :-?

Iniesta is a better player than Messi right now.
