OT- Champions League Final: Barcelona vs. Manchester United

Post#1 » by poeman » Sat May 28, 2011 6:09 pm

Anyone else going to watch this amazing matchup?

Rooney, Messi, Chicarito...Wembley Stadium.

They call this a dream final.

I have the flopping bums of barca (only Messi is the man), but I will root for Man U this time.

Watching the Fox pregame right now.

Really dumbed down. Aimed at people who have never seen a match before.

Good first half. Barca good as always, many missed opportunities so far. Rooney as savior for ManU but goal was offside imho. Predict game will go overtime.

Ok, Messi does´nt thinks so...

I'm a Man U. fan but you got to give it to Barcelona. They play with such class that every play is like design when they get on the attack. They move so well up front that is looks so nice & smooth and creates them so many opportunity to score.

Man U has done a pretty good damn job since Ronaldo left. They added Chicharito who's very young and is going to get better as he gets older.

Chicarito was completely useless today. Only thing he was good for were offsides calls.

Barcelona is just on an entirely different level than any other team.

Lionel Messi is awesome! It would have been nice, if he played like this during the World Cup last Summer.

I always root for the English Premier League teams (Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea) against La Liga; but wow Barcelona is so fun to watch.

He and Cristiano Ronaldo (with the Portuguese NT) have the same issues in the WC. It seems they can only perform around world-class soccer players. Portugal has a good national team, but they aren't Brazil. Messi shouldn't have an excuse because Argentina has some great players on their national team.

Edit:  I forgot about Wayne Rooney as well. He underperformed in last year's WC too.

I don't think that Messi trusts his argentinians teamates nearly as much as he does his Barca ones.

I really don't know, but I can imagine it's the other way. It might be, that his teammates don't trust him. It is known, that there are a some argentinian players who grudge Messi his success in Barcelona. Winning a WC with him guiding the bunch would match Maradonnas status. That's blasphemy in their eyes.

How can you compare those two, when
a) C. Ronaldo has all the freedom in his national team, while Messi doesn't?
and b) Ronaldo is all about his personal presentation, whereas Messi is all a man of teamplay, having fun while playing for the win?
Besides, Messi isn't used properly in his national team. That's all.

Guys... pleeeaaassee put the C. in fornt of Ronaldo. It is embarrassing to this guy.
