But really PSG don't need to play until February to win Ligue 1.

Favre once again transforming a mediocre team into a good one. Man knows his stuff for sure...even if his coaching approach sometimes lacks an adequate plan b.

All the good teams in France are doing well (PSG, Monaco, Lyon, Marseille, Lille) and it shows that french league is really stepping up compare to other leagues !
Neymar is just FANTASTIC ! 3 goals, 3 ass in 2 games ! Cavani 3 goals too ! This season is going to be fun !!! Cant wait for the Champion's League !

This Dani Alves/Neymar vs Cavani thing is interesting, PSG could implode spectacularly if the Brazilians form their own clique; a season long version of La Remontada

There was bottle throwing in Montpellier against the OM team too. Seems French fans don't want to be in the grounds.

Here we go again. Monaco 17-year old comes on for the first time as a sub and scores a brace including this one:

The Cherki era is finally here for Lyon. It feels like he has already flopped but he is still 19. I've always thought he'd pan out because when he gets to plays he is usually the most dangerous (well always the most dangerous, but usually the most dangerous to the other team), and he's been the best U21 player for years when he is called up, even when guys like Camavinga and Tchouameni were there.

Mostly because finally they have a coach realizing the alternatives are not good, but for the first time he gets two starts in a row and was clearly the best player on the team in these matches.

Lens fans have the best "chant". They always come out of halftime to this:

Cherki is clearly Lyon's best player since finally starting, and now PSG is trying to buy him. Lyon supporters will be done if that happens they wait 4 years for this?

I bet Madrid makes a 70+M bid like with Tchou and Cama. It's the hipster sort of move they have been into since being unable to make the now needed galactico forward signings.

4 U17 players scored today in Ligue 1.

Of those I'm most excited about Doué and Emery. Rennes has something figured out in terms of player development it is wild, every year a new top talent emerges.

Cherki will continue to catch flak for lack of success in Lyon and finishing but I am sure he can be a menace on a good team. In 630 minutes he has 39 passes that led to a shot (every 16 minutes). No one close to that

The Cherki show continues in Lyon. This season is a catastrophe but at least there is finally a coach willing to play him, his game is so fun to watch. If this guy had any athleticism at all he'd be a top player, instead he can work his way into great positions and then still has no way to get a shot off. Need to get a bunch of speedsters around him to chase his passes.

Another game another masterclass from Cherki. Honestly the best or at least one of the best players in Ligue 1 since he started. Can't figure out what Garcia and Bosz have been thinking, he is doing for 70-90 minutes a game what he was doing 5 minutes a game under them, no let up at all, just a permanent sparkplug. Somehow they convinced us a 19 year old was a complete bust

He's slow, but it doesn't matter because defenders always guess wrong about what he'll do next.
