2016 Copa America

They are thinking of having the 10 teams from South America and 8 from Concacaf. It is a terrible idea in my opinion and will destroy the Gold Cup which as a Canadian I do not want.

Who the hell cares about the Gold Cup? Copa America is a way better tournament.

It's a better tournament because it involves better teams.

Adding CONCACAF teams only weakens the competition in my opinion. I agree with the original poster, I would much prefer two competitions from both Continents.

If they want to add anything, have the two winners play each other in a home and away to determine the best team from the Americas.

The problem is that the Copa America has so few teams it becomes quite boring.

CONCACAF and CONMEBOL should join, the first one has only 2 good teams and the other one only has 10 members.

But if that doesnt happen, i hope its not played in Mexico in 2016. Should never leave South America.
