a special good luck wish to THOR AKUREYRI of Iceland, who play Bohemians today to advance to the 2nd qualifying round. They are in Icelandic 2nd division but won the domestic cup to get the chance to compete in EL. My good friend Giuseppe Funicello, born in Italy but raised in my hometown in Connecticut is on the team

Interesting game at the Lane so far. Lloris makes his full debut for Spurs, though he hasn't had a tremendous amount to do. Spurs have controlled most of the game but Lazio have had a few nice chances on the break, including a first-time Gonzalez strike that hit the bar.

Liverpool won 5-3 away against Young Boys. I'll have to catch highlights of that later, sounds entertaining.

Liverpool game had some of the worst defending and possession control you'll see all year.

Bilbao vs Lyon should be fun to watch.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Spurs 1-0 up against Maribor at home, looking fairly comfortable. Knowing our recent run of not being able to close games out, I'm still a bit nervous.

Looking forward to the Lazio game at the Olimpico.

That was a terrible goal. Not sure what either player was thinking.

Lazio vs. Spurs at the Olimpico on Thursday.

I'm pretty nervous, a lot riding on this game for Spurs. Lazio are a very good side and Spurs aren't playing too well of late. First game we were extremely unlucky not to beat them, thanks to some awful refereeing.

The first game I was at White Hart Lane. What I saw on the pitch was a draw. Tottenham played really badly, Lazio defended well, they missed some good chances also.

If Spurs played badly, what did Lazio do? They didn't really defend all that well at all considering we had two perfectly valid goals ruled out. I don't recall Lloris being threatened once besides Gonzalez hitting the bar.

They didn't have to do anything since they were okay with draw. They got the one point from their best opponent in group, why would you wanna do to risk it anyway?

I do remember the goals but except goals I don't remember that you guys threatened the Lazio's side, either.

Well, regardless, I don't see it being as close this time around. I expect Lazio to win quite comfortably given Spurs' recent form and injury list, plus the Olimpico is an intimidating place to play as an away side. In such a case, I guess the best I can hope for is for Panathinaikos and Maribor to draw... it would be embarrassing for Spurs to go out in the group phase again.
