A quote from a UEFA statement: "UEFA has a film crew at all open training sessions but they did not pick up any racist chanting on their video."
This day & age with everyone having camera phones..... NO ONE got video of the ''hundreds chanting''?
This reeks of ****

Just read it in a newspaper. Utterly disgraceful. I mean, you occasionally get the random drunk idiot to make him look like the deserved fool he is but that many?

Dutch players have admitted they didn't hear anything. Don't believe everything you read in the newspaper or online. No video = ''Claims''

Van Bommel, however, responded angrily when it was put to him not everyone had heard monkey noises. "You need to open your ears," he said. "If you did hear it, and don't want to hear it, that is even worse."

I'd love to see him walk off the field next time in protest
If we all ''need to open your ears''

Look, I'm not here trying to judge Poland just because of some few racist idiots. Why would the Dutch run to the media if there didn't happen anything at all? There must have been something.
Yes, I couldn't hear anything from the video either but that doesn't mean there wasn't anything going down.

Seeing Netherlands lay an egg in the opening match after their captain tried to smear the international perception of a glorious city like Krakow is SWEET JUSTICE

Hopefully hell won't break lose during/around the France-England game.
That's gotta be the game with the highest monkey chant potential.

Someone is just intentionally trying to make Poland look like a racist country. First BBC's "documentary" about racism in Poland & Ukraine, now this. I wouldn't expect much from Wisła fans (OK, I might be biased, I'm all for Cracovia

) but they're smart enough not to try any of this racist s**t. I have no idea who could profit from Poland looking racist, maybe Britons try to make more people come to their Olympics instead of Euro'12? Since their statement was "Don't go to Poland, you might come back in a coffin"...

It doesn't take much effort to make them look bad. Their hooligans are notorious.

Other parts of the documentary are on the channel.

On a slightly related note, apparently some of the German fans had some seemingly homophobic chants going before the game.
Before the game in Lviv, a group of German fans walked about chanting Portuguese players’ names followed by “is a homosexual.”

It would surprise nobody if this were true, regardless of the PR attempts to quash it. Strides are being made, sure, but there's a way to go.
^ And to add to that, some Russian fans beat up Polish security who were trying to find out who threw a firecracker. Again the incident was downplayed. It would really be better, I think, if they instead took a hardline approach and sent a public message of zero tolerance. So far, two days, two ugly 'isolated incidents'. There should be a 'named and shamed' thread or some public forum for outing these idiots. Then again, some dbags would probably relish in the infamy.
Can't wait for a Poland-Russia game. Let all the old feelings out. I hope they'll prove me wrong and just be great supporters of their teams.

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/soccer--walking-out-mid-game-an-option-for-england-if-its-players-are-targets-of-racist-abuse-from-fans.htmlEngland is considering walking out if racism taunts are directed towards the team (eight of 23 players are black). Does the team that's left behind actually advance? If so, douchebags fans could use this as a strategy for their teams.
Hopefully it won't come this...

I certainly hope not. I definitely think that's an ultimate, last resort kind of thing - the word over here has been that they want to avoid such actions and will let the referees and Uefa officials deal with any incidents. We all just have to hope that the officials and police presence
do deal with any occurrences, single out the mindless few who are attempting to spoil things for everyone else, eject them from the ground and ensure they are subject to any and all legal punishments for their actions.

This is the first time the European tournament has gone farther East than Germany. Brits have voiced their frustration over travel plans to Ukraine.
England would love for something to occur & Eastern Europe not allowed to host events after

With all due respect, shut up. You sound like an idiot, suggesting this is all some sort of conspiracy to make your country look bad. No-one is saying that everyone in Poland, or everyone in Ukraine, are racists. Is it really hard for you to believe that there are racists in Poland and Ukraine, just like there are in every country, and that those people would like to take advantage of a big event like this to spew their nonsense? Do you actually think that Poland is some sort of centre of enlightenment and tolerance, and that no such people could exist there? Or that no such people could have travelled there from other nations?
One of Poland's own anti-racism groups has already highlighted chanting at the Russia-Czech Republic game, have they been bought out by Britain or one of the other Western European nations to further the conspiracy?

Look, I spoke to family in Germany & Poland..... the English press was the ONLY one reporting/manufacturing all this crap
If you aren't English & you trust that country, you are an idiot.
