Thanks for creating. Some major storylines:

I don't get this. I was shocked earlier they wanted to put him into jail. Now he sits his best years, will probably never regain his career. Everyone loses. I don't want to even think about how this compares to other cases (homicide, etc.). He would've been better off driving and killing someone under influence.

I'm no Bayern fan btw.

This is terrible for Breno and shows how poor German jurisdiction sometimes is.

For burning down a house in drunken condition while not being sane you get 3 years and 9 months in jail.

For being corrupt while being sane you get a Zapfenstreich and a full 16.500 € in benefits payed monthly on your bank account. And the best thing is it is called Ehrensold (for non germans: honorarium)

Leverkusen buy Real Madrid talent Dani Carvajal.

Never heard of but he's supposed to be talented.

I'm very excited to see what happens with Greuther Furth. A really young team that's finally overcome the years of almost cracking the top tier.

Hannover is another team I'm curious about, last year was a great season for them, holding onto a european spot while going deep in the Euro League, do they build on that or do they get stretched to thin?

Nice Thread, Go Borrusia Dortmund, I can feel a 3 peat the addition of Reus was huge, also Bayern r talking with Man City about the possibility of getting former Bundesliga great (and my fav player) Edin Dzeko

That deal is pretty much dead after they've acquired Mario Mandzukic from Wolfsburg. I guess the asking price for Dzeko was too high.

Dortmund is my favourite as well. Their game is perfectly suited for the Bundesliga.
We'll see how they compensate losing Kagawa and Barrios. I can still see them losing Lewandowski as well.

Losing Lawendowski would be big and I do think they will lose him (he said he wants to go to Man U) although I do think that they will find a replacement for him (them buying Dzeko would be epic, my fav player on my fav team) but Reus will compensate for Kagawas absence and Gotze is very young and will only get better

Dzeko is too expensive for Dortmund. They were on the brink of being bankrupt once and won't risk that again.
If Lewandowski indeed goes they're in deep trouble up front.
They bought Julian Schieber who is ok as a backup but won't be anything more than a solid striker at best (unless Jürgen Klopp turns sh*t to gold again of course ).
Reus is not a pure striker and there aren't a whole lot of transfer options right now. Like I said, selling Barrios (who is a really good striker as well) will look rather foolish if Lewandowski wants out.

I don't think they could find an adequate replacement if Lewandowski leaves now.

I wouldn't worry too much about Dortmund's attacking power, it is not that dependent on having a superb CF. It does help of course, but the heart of BVB's offense is its blistering speed. After all, the EC 2012 showed that CFs are overrated anyway

Dzeko is just my pipe dream, but I wasnt talking about Reus replacing Barrios I was talking about him filling the void in mid field left by Kagawa leaving, but Im sure the boys in the Dortmund FO have a strategy for dealing with Lawendowski wanting to leave.

I know you weren't but someone has to fill the void when both Lewandowski and Barrios are gone.

It hasn't been posted on the official websites yet but Luuk de Jong should finally join Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The transfer fee is reportly about 14 - 15 mil euros, which is by far the most Gladbach ever spend on a player.
The current recordholder is Granit Xhaka, who was transfered for 8.5 mil euros from FC Basel and before this summer we never spend more then 4 mil euros on a player.

Gladbach also has spanish winger Ezequiel Calvente of Betis Seville trying out for two days and most likely joining the team on a one year loan.

Adding those two would mean a pretty solid selection and many possibilities for coach Lucien Favre.

Wonder if there's enough money left over for them to bring in Hoilett as well or if they're all done.

I don't think Hoilett will join Gladbach as he certainly wants a nice signing bonus.

Though, we've got Ezequiel Calvente probably joining us on loan from Betis.

Could happen but I doubt it would be the main reason for losing out.
Even though we're most likely not playing any team from Italy, England, France or Spain, there are still quality teams like Spartak Moscow, Sporting Brage etc. that will be tough to beat.

Eh, depends on their draw, could be a very manageable playoff matchup for them even if they are breaking in 3 new starters. Their first match is still over a month away and Xhaka will be coming from a very similar team in Basel. Hell Favre can bring LdJ off the bench so the only new starters are Alvaro and Xhaka. They've made big changes, but I'm not sure they'll take that long to get it together as my biggest concern is how Dominguez and MAtS replace Dante's presence in the middle of that defense and whether the better finishing of LdJ and improved midfield can replace the brilliance of Reus. Xhaka should be a major hit next to the rampaging Norwegian.
