I'm interested to see how he fits, given how much their team runs through Messi and how ball-dominant Neymar is as a forward. Still, a front three of Iniesta Messi Neymar is intriguing.

This year when Messi was shut down by Varane, their team crumbled and couldn't create chances (surprising given how "creative" their players are supposed to be), but I think with Neymar they might be able to remove some of the dependence on Messi by having an alternative creator for their attack.

Side note: anyone think Bale would flop in La Liga? if he was playing on the right wing I think he'd be just as effective as he's been in te EPL in 2013, if not more so.

I don't think he will flop. I don't think he will immediately be a superstar either, though.

That Barca is playing such a ball dominant style of play will greatly benefit him, IMO.

He is not accustomed to play two way soccer with attacking and defending from what I have seen so far.
So with Barca having the bulk of possession each game....his defensive shortcomings won't be exposed as much as they would be on any other club in the world.

Guess he will have to add some strength if he wants to become a great player.

I think he will be a good player, but not a superstar; therefore, he is overrated. I agree with Luisnani that Barca needed a player like him. Barcelona has become very dependent on Messi and get shut down when teams find a way to stop him. I think having a player with the individual abilities he has will come in handy.

He was talked about as being the next big thing, which I think he won't be.

I am also curious to see how Bale would do in la Liga. He is a special talent, but his game fits perfectly in the EPL. Would be curious to see how he does in Spain. If he went to Madrid, I don't think RW would be the right move for him. I would move CR7 to RW and start Bale at LW

I'm very high on Neymar for a hater, cause I compare him to Marco Reus, and that type of dynamic talent in space could give Barca not just a scorer other than Messi to rely on, but could also give their style of play some of the vertical dynamism that they left behind for tiki taka. And unlike having a Pedro or Sanchez flying onto their passes when Barca do try to up the tempo, Neymar can score tons of goals. He'll need to adjust to playing without space and not getting frustrated, he'll also need to learn to make better decisions with the ball when spaces get tight, but there's certainly plenty of reason for optimism.

if barca's track record with brazilians is any indication, he'll be pretty damn good.
