Barrios probably headed to Bremen. Good transfer if true.

...Hamburg after Roque Santa Cruz
...Augsburg after Halil Altintop

wtf...do german clubs not learn that you shouldn't invest too much money in overpaid oldies?

I mean that Altintop is even in discussion in Augsburg after that fiasco in Frankfurt is baffling.

Roque is way past his prime. Good player in his day, but has little left on the tank.

Even in his prime he never was much more than an average striker. His other skills don't make up for his lousy goal scoring record enough.

I don't get why anyone would be interested in him since he'll probably demand a salary that you can sign 2 promissing young strikers with who will help you more long-term...and maybe even short-term as well.

He is a hard worker and plays with a warrior mentality. Coaches seem to appreciate those kind of players. I agree with you though, coaches should be watching the U-20 tourney and trying to sign some young strikers.

Augsburg has signed Halil Altintop for two years.

They're also interested in loaning central midfielders Raphael Holzhauser(Stuttgart) and/or Emre Can(Bayern).

Wolfsburg was finally able to sign central defender Timm Klose from Nuremburg.

Nuremburg wants to sign striker Josip Drmic of FC Zürich(Switzerland).

Oliver Occean will leave Frankfurt and join 2nd division side Kaiserslautern.

So what?

Goals per game in Bundesliga: 0.2
Goals per game in SüperLig: 0.21

Minutes per goal in Bundesliga: 338
Minutes per goal in SüperLig: 313

Either way, Halil Altintop sucks.

Hard to evaluate Kadlec. He played only very few games last season. He got hurt in October until mid Febuary...and afterwards he made only 6 or 7 appearances for the rest of the season.

Normally, he is an ok FB. Not great but certainly not bad either.

He's a capable defender, fit in well with that big Leverkusen defense that was so strong last year although Boenisch's surprisingly strong campaign made him expandable. Kadlec is still a good pickup.

Who cares what he would never do in Turkey? Statistically, he is better in SüperLig than in Bundesliga.

And back when Altintop scored 20 he was on fire and the BuLi was at an entirely different level. That has very little to do with today's BuLi.

Forgot to post about this when it happened but Emir Spahic has joined Bayer Leverkusen as a potential replacement for Sokratis. I really like the signing, Spahic is a veteran who can really help Leverkusen, although he is overly aggressive at times. And it's alot better for Bosnia and for him to have come to the Bundesliga instead of going to Saudi Arabia

Not happy to see that butcher in the BuLi but fortunately he won't play much unless kusen get hit by injuries at the back.

Frankfurt loans out Joselu from Hoffenheim and is about to sign Bendtner from Juve.
Well, I guess both of them can't be any worse than Occean and Matmour were last season.

Gonna be interesting to hear what Point forward thinks about his club becoming an all-star selection of in Frankfurt unwanted players. First Köhler, Hoffer, Idrissou and now Occean, Matmour.

I wonder what has happened to Hamburg.

Like the biggest club from 2nd biggest city in Germany and they are making double digit million losses and have to cut their wages? Players wages aren't even that high. 48 mil. € currently.

Eintracht alumni aren't the worst choice. Idrissou and Hoffer were good for us, and Köhler had flashes. I am a bit wary about Occean's shaky work ethic and Matmour's lack of effectivity, but if they were in top shape, no way we could get them. I know that Eintracht and Lautern don't like each other, but we have been playing in different leagues for so long (FCK was in the Bundesliga when Frankfurt was 2. BL, and vice versa) that it has died down a little.

As much as I love bayern, I hope to see a new champion this season. I know it will be very hard, but I don't want the bundesliga turning into the Spanish league.
