PES14 vs FIFA14

Post#1 » by Kahn_2001 » Sun Jul 28, 2013 6:34 pm

Which one are you guys getting? PES 14 gameplay footage looks freaking amazing and at that stage it was 70% done. Fifa looks the same as before and it would be hard to tell the difference between any of their instalments since 09. I will be getting PES first day. The player details look insane on PES and this is for the current gen. they're using a completely new engine and it looks like they've taken care of the robotic animations.

I know there is a video game section, but I thought this would be more suitable here.

Both look great. I used to be a huge fan of the PES franchise, bought every one from 2000-2009, but all my friends play FIFA now.

The detail in PES14 is unbelievable. It seems like they've actually increased significantly in that regard compared to FIFA.

I'll be getting FIFA, I just love Ultimate team. I know PES has a better simulation feel while FIFA has an arcade vibe (especially UT) I'm excited to try the new chemistry boosts in the new FUT14.

I've been playing Fifa since 1997 and have played Pes between 1998-2010. Pes was clearly better in 2003-09, but IMO they lost the edge in 2010. I'll surely buy Fifa and download the demo of Pes, but they need huge improvements in order to win me back.

PES looked really impressive in those videos. I'm a FIFA-guy since 2010 but it seems to me that FIFA is going to regurgitated a lot of things from 13 and only add small improvements for 14.

I hope this pushes FIFA to really get off of their asses and increase their overall effort in making FIFA games for the future (starting with FIFA 15 next year).

I will probably stick with FIFA 13 and buy PES 2014.

I had a tough time finding roster updates for PES13, although I haven't looked at it for at least 6 months. I might switch back to FIFA this year. I'll try the FIFA demo and if it still pisses me off, like 12 did, I'll go PES.

I had the very first FIFA on PC, and I think I the first PES I had was winning 11 8.

I used the pesgaming forums to get mine, they seem to have all the roster makers on there. Plus konami also updates the rosters.

Pes has master league online, which is basically ultimate team minus people using real money. The demo should be out soon, can't wait to try it.

Fifa for me.

Although I have played demos of W11 and PES, the gameplay did not wow me. Plus the fact that Fifa has all the real life sponsors, teams, players, logos makes the difference.

I just hope Fifa improves free kicks and takes out 45 and 90th minute BS goals. Improvement over lobby would not hurt either (eg live chat, mic)

At this point in my life I only buy games for multi-player options, and FIFA has UT and seasons. Plus more of my friends play it, and when it comes to video games I'm totally herd mentality ha.

My UT got hacked last year so I didn't play this past season but might give it a whirl this year.

Like most of you I was a huge PES fan from 1998-2010 and PES 6 is still my favorite football game of all time, I'll most likely buy FIFA but I'll give the PES Demo a try.

Yah for sure, hoping this year we will also get the rosters some what fast. I might order a European version if the demo shows a huge improvement from last year. They really need to make the files universal, the EU r files are amazing.

I agree. Regular games in FIFA are damn slow, though.

Pes owns in everything except licensing and online gameplay. All you need is a option file for pes and youll have all the unliscensed teams and kits. Seeing how i mainly just like to to play Master League offline ill get PES again.
