You have Ibra, Ronaldo and Messi top tier.
Then Iniesta, Yaya, Suarez, Aguero, Ribery, Vidal, Pirlo
Then Cavani, Robben, Thiago Silva, Hazard, Mata, Arda.

Good call on the above. Ibra is in that range now I think.

His production has been on an upward tick for each of the last four seasons, and the fact that he's doing it in the CL as well means that it's not just because of he's playing in the relatively weak French league.

He's really the perfect striker, he can play the poacher role and hold-up man perfectly, shoot from anywhere on the pitch, probably the most complete attacking player after Ronaldo.

Thiago Silva is the best player on that PSG squad. Gotta have a lot of respect for Cavani though, for a star striker he's jsut so amazing playing off of another star striker, first with Suarez/Forlan for the NT and now with Ibra for FC Qatar.

Ibrahimovic is not in the Messi/Ronaldo tier. No way.

Have you watched 2013 Confederations Cup? Neymar was, by far, the best player in the tournament.

And when he does it in a real tourney I'll start considering him for the top 30, but until then he's behind a **** ton of other players.

Forget Neymar, the only person getting disrespected here is Gareth Frank Bale. He's easily in the second tier after Ronaldo/Messi imo.

Lest we forget...

He really hasn't proved much for Barca. He needs to perform at a top 10 level to be included in the top 10. Top 30 is perfect, I might go lower because he's so one-dimensional.

Says the duo who think Neymar deserves to even be mentioned in a top 10 players thread. I dropped 25 names off the top of my head who are above him in this thread already. If I put some thought into it I bet I could add another 5.

You two are simply massively over rating the significance of neymar's stats for santos and playing friendlies for brazil. If he starts dominating at Barca the way he did at santos or can perform for the selaccio in a game that matters, I'll be totes open to changing my mind, but for now mentioning Neymar in this thread is just laughable.

But you aren't the first to be suckered in by his hype.

Top 20 at least.

Do you really a guy like Balotelli is better than Neymar?

Unlike all of you think, football is not only based on success in Europe. Libertadores is much harder than La Liga/Calcio and he dominated that tournament at 19.

One-dimensional? For God's sake...how do you even respond to that? Omg. Hes playing out of position and still did pretty well for Barcelona in his first semester. The injury and the rumours about his transfer screwed his development but he is getting back.

He is top 10, no matter what you think. The fact that you're telling me that he is not, is a evidence of him actually being top 10.

lol ok buddy. He should become a top 20 player some day. And even if he never gets that good he's still fun to watch, but god damn. Look at my post from early and make a good argument for just 5 of the players I named, much less the 15 it would take to get him into the top 10.

I dont want to get into your discussion but you mean the same copa libertadores whose winner couldnt beat Raja Casablanca to advance to the club wc final against Bayern Munich? Ok.

Or the same Libertadores whose previous winner beat the UCL's previous winner and won the WCC.

If you catch my drift.

Haha, thank you.

Anyway, obviously i dont think Atletico MG would beat Bayern Munich or that the best teams in Libertadores are as good as Bayern/Real Madrid. What i said is that Libertadores is harder than La Liga/Calcio/Ligue 1, but lots of people still try to undervalue this tournament disrespecting Brazil and Argentina. Guess where the best players of all time came from?

Just for curiosity, Sao Paulo did beat Liverpool in 2005 and Internacional did beat Barcelona in 2006. Not to mention 2012 Corinthians (hell of a team) beating Chelsea. But before that game, people were like "there's no way Chelsea is gonna lose to Corinthians"...

I didn't question that Copa Libertadores is a legit competition. I question whether it is (as stated by pedro) clearly superior to La Liga which is commonly known as the 2nd best league in the world and was the best just a couple years back.

And if you catch my drift the CL winner won 6 of the last 7 Club WC's.
