Best player on Madrid is Ronaldo. Best on Barcelona is Messi etc.

But who's the best in the current Bayern? Who you got?

In terms of goal scoring those are Madrid/Barca's best players so for Bayern I assume from the group shown it would be Muller or Robben. My personal favourite is Gotze though, and Ribery was one of their top performers last year. Tough call.

Bayern are one of the few teams in football history to have been the best team in the world without a 10 out of 10 player.

They have 10-12 players who are 9 out of 10 though.

Ribery or Lahm, in my opinion.

But Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Muller, and Robben are not too far behind and that overall quality is part of what makes them so good.

It's Ribery. Or at least it was. Lahm's importance at the 6 may have actually pushed him ahead of Ribery temporarily, but Ribery is the star of that show.

That said up until he got hurt Kroos was the star for them and may well take back that title in the coming years.

He hasn't done it for Bayern yet. Gotze at Dortmund was better than some of those guys, but he hasn't done enough at bayern yet to surpass them in a discussion like this and as he develops he could easily surpass all of them, but that's the future, not the present.

For me, it is Lahm. He is the one guy who is a) world class at his position, b) irreplaceable and c) durable (knock on wood). Ribéry and Robben miss at least 10 games per season, Neuer and Alaba are irreplaceable but "just" very good, and Schweini, Kroos, Müller are ultimately replaceable (Thiago, Mandzukic, Götze, Shaq).

Edit: Having no clear cut best player is a nightmare for opponents. You have 5-6 guys who can carve you up instead of just 2-3. Also, after that uber painful 2012 year, Bayern players are willing to defer if they just win.

dont think they have a clear cut one , everyone is lethal and everyone is a force.

Ribery. He is the one breaking down the opposing defenses and creating space for others to score.

This. Slightly preferring Lahm, but this might be personal reasons.

Actually, the best on Barcelona is obviously Neymar.

But seriously, I think I'm kind of inclined to go with Ribery here. I had a pretty hard time deciding like magik, but when I really think about it Ribery seems like the obvious choice to me. So glad he didn't go to Arsenal in 06.

Lahm. It is a joke that he is never considered for Ballon d'Or.

Ribery and Lahm. Ribery has been the league's best player for most parts of his Bayern career.
But Lahm is definitely Bayern's MVP, at least in my eyes. Simply because he's such a great all-around talent, defense, offense, leadership, his football IQ is off the charts, he can play multiple positions at an elite level, never injured, Munich native... everything.

As someone who saw a sixteen year old lad from a town no more than ten kilometres debut in an FC Groningen shirt all those years ago, I had to go for the homer choice of Robben. If he wouldn't be perenially injured it wouldn't even be a discussion, the boy is magic in boots.

The thing about Bayern though is that it is a collective of mainly homegrown talent (well, German talent) Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Gotze, Badstuber, Alaba, Neuer, Kroos, Muller... it is an almost infallable production line. I don't like Bayern as they are the Ajax of Germany, but they are a shining example of a well managed club with money.

I can't see beyond them for this years Championship League title and frankly, wouldn't be surprised if they went on a European domination spree for the next five years.

It's really hard to tell who's the best, all of those guys are elite.

Götze is not there yet, but his potential is scary. His feel for the game is just awesome, I'm glad he didn't leave the BL.
