And how many times have i asked you to show me the rule?

The very point i made about Youtube was that it would be very difficult to search for such a video due its vague and unimportant nature.

Now show us the rule and settle this debate for once and all, or is the Fifa rule book limited in China too?

Meanwhile, once again:

A player is in an offside position if:

he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent

How many times have I told you i have very limited google access in China forget about youtube, dailymotion, facebook etc?

I wouldn't go into fifa rule book and search for it while i write 10 pages report to the headquarter of JP everyday. I would just find some goals on youtube.

Oh, my apologies. I momentarily forgot how busy and important you are. Here is the Fifa rule book. I'm posting the PDF version so you can search it within seconds. The offside rule is Law 11. You can find it on page 35. I'll be here all day.

In fact, let's have this discussion forever. Sooner or later, we will stumble into such a goal. An attacker will keep a ball that is about to go out in play by the post and another one will tap into the empty goal. Meanwhile, you will never find that rule.

I did say sort of Ted

Like I said, when I get some free time I'll try and experiment with it on FIFA. Since that's where I made the assumption from

I would expect any low from Massimo, but what part of the following statement is unclear to you?

A player is in an offside position if:

he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent

There are all sorts of nuances to the offside rule that are fun to discuss, but I can't believe we're debating this one.

Especially when the merits of one argument seem to be: "I think it was called against me once in a video game."

It's very clear to me, but like I said it's happened to me a couple of times in FIFA hence my assumption. Hence why I might try an experiment to see if it's the case.

Which is why I'm trying to see it by performing said experiment (to see whether I was right to assume or most likely blind), because I'm guessing (again assumptions) that the FIFA game is a simulation of football with all the rules correctly in place as it's officially licensed by FIFA. So (and again, assumptions) that the rules on football that apply today also applies in the game.

So if Man City win out they are champions (assuming Liverpool doesn't overtake them on goal difference)?

If so, I might have just lost my lifelong best friend.

He is a diehard Liverpool fan and I didn't text nor call him to talk about Liverpool during their recent 11 game win streak that saw them shoot to the top of the table, but after last weeks games when Liverpool won vs Norwich and ManCity and Chelsea lost, I text him congrats on winning the league. Now he is pissed saying I jinxed them for texting him. He is so nervous and I can't help but laugh because I have given him so much crap over the last 5 years for everything from Liverpool's failures to sending him meme's of Suarez's bite.

LOL, he is speaking the truth. I lost a lot of respect for guys like Giggs and John Terry (never really liked him to begin with) for all their BS they pulled.

my little brother has been the same aha he's been unbearable over the last few months mocking me over arsenals collapse , putting newpaper clippings with the headlines "liverpool go 1st" all around the house. It was too much. He's been completely devastated since the whistle blew yesterday though. He still can't believe kalas on his debut held his own vs suarez at anfield lol and he keeps mumbling lol

His Dad seems like such a nice guy. No wonder Giggs turned out to be such a gentleman, with such a strong father figure to look up to.

What a complete and utter prick. Has the gall to call his son cowardly after he's snaked off to the press to publically lambast him. Is he really any better? Wonder how much they paid him.

^^ I'd still say what Giggs did is worse, but that's just me.

Was hoping Diaby would make the bench today...

It absolutely is, but the guy isn't exactly doing himself any favours by handling things like this. What made the Giggs story so shocking is that the affair concerned a member of his own family. Sh*tting on your own son to the notoriously ravenous british press, regardless of what he's done, at the dawn of the biggest career venture of his life is pretty high up there too.

Definitely not, it's a pretty shite thing to do. But, nailing your brothers wife for eight years behind his back and getting her pregnant makes Giggs as big an **** as you can get with out being John Terry ;)
