Just getting this out of the way:

Neymar is a top 10 player in the world. Galatasaray would finish top 4 in the PL. Everything you know about the offside rule is wrong. Real Madrid parked the bus. Everything is mind games.

Also, Mick McCarthy is the best.

(I just wanted the first post)

Here is to an Athletico Madrid Champions League triumph. I have come to hate Jose Mourinho so I hope Chelsea doesn't win. I am torn between Real and Bayern. A bayern triumph puts them one behind my Milan for the 2nd most all time and a Real win puts then at double digits and pulls them 3 ahead of my beloved Milan. That puts Bayern slightly ahead of madrid for my rooting interests.

Rooting for a Real vs. Chelsea final, personally. Would be delighted to see Jose and Ancelotti against their old clubs at such a huge stage.

^That is intriguing but I feel it would be the most boring final since Milan vs Juve back in 2003.

Can't see a boring game with the likes of Cristiano, Hazard, Bale, Oscar, Modric, Ramires, Benzema, Eto'o... I could go on. Tons of pace and skill on both sides. Doubt we'd play as defensively against Chelsea as we were against Bayern in the first leg.

I agree, there are a lot of great players but we have seen the ole bus being parked too many times before. I always hope for an entertaining game like everyone else but usually the ones that are expected to entertain fall flat.

Chelsea vs Real would be the most boring matchup out of these four.

I don't see any of the other possible matchups being any more compelling tbh

I don't think I'd even watch Bayern vs. Atletico.

I'd love to see Athleti-Bayern

If Bayern wins this, they have to win with like 3:1, 5:2 or 6:4. No way they can keep a clean sheet. If Hoffenheim, Bremen or Dortmund can score 2+ on them, I don't like their chances vs BBC. 2014 Bayern is so vulnerable vs the counter that 2013 Bayern would crush them.

That being said, let's go Bayern! Show our NT how to win a semi finals!! :starwars

Has a city ever produced both CL finalists before?

Don't think so. It would be the first time ever in history of the EC/UCL.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Lineups suggest it'll be an extremely open game even if Madrid bury their midfield and start deep as they are likely to do.

I find it hard to believe that Javi Martinez isn't starting in midfield.

No surprises in the starting lineup. Pep isn't experimenting today it seems.

From our XI it would appear we're going for a 4-3-3 but from Ancelotti's presser it seems like Bale will be playing in a line of 4 behind Ronaldo and Benzema. All that talk about "sacrifice".

No way will this go well for Bayern today. Kroos isn't exactly a legend of a defender and Schweinsteiger isn't either. These days, you need at least one destroyer like Javi in the midfield.

I can already see Kroos jogging back on the Real Madrid counter attacks in front of my eyes.

I don't know why Pep is refusing to go to the tactics that worked really well for Bayern last season with Javi in DM. Maybe he doesn't want the media to write that he copied Heynckes tactics or something (which would be plain stupid).

It's odd because at Barcelona he benched the guy with offensive potential (Yaya) for the positionally disciplined holder (Busquets). At Bayern, he is doing the opposite even though his third midfielder here is a number 10 as opposed to a second CM.

Let's see what happens. Looking forward to it.

I was wondering about that too. They probably do it to match the outer light of the stadium.

Ahhh, makes sense. They had an amazing display out in the stadium before the match.

Digging our defensive work on our right side against Ribery and Alaba.

Gareth Bale fluffed that one.
