RealGM

Thanks everyone for making this such a great soccer forum.

Nice to reach this milestone, now well ahead of the NHL forums, and will pass by the NFL soon enough too.

I hope after the World Cup a lot of the new posters stick around to talk about MLS, EPL, Serie A and so on.

Any ideas on how to make this forum better? Let us know.

I imagine most people who post in here are Premier League fans. We can have a season long fantasy PL group just for RealGM and compete with each other week in and week out, and at the end of year crown the RealGM poster with the most points. That way the flow of posters coming in these parts of the board remain consistent throughout the season. We used to do the same thing in a previous forum that was not soccer related a few years back and it was quite successful.

There is also a similar fantasy game with the champions league and I imagine almost everyone here follows that too.

The bigger the group we have that participates, the more competitive and fun it becomes.

We can also advertise that weeks in advance of the season starting to let our fellow NBA posters know as well.

I think we already had that last season. Although, I haven't logged in there for months now.

1,000,000 shouldn't take too long if we can keep up the kind of traffic we've had during the World Cup so far. Hopefully some posters will stick around when it's over. I prefer this place over fanbase specific forums or more active, hectic places because the level of discourse tends to be more paced and reasonable. Plus it's interesting to get perspective from other fans without the discussion devolving into flame wars.

You think so? I reckon Massimo and maybe No_20 are the only real culprits here. Compared to the General NBA board this place is incredibly well behaved.

Though to be honest, I have never given an official warning out on this forum. I have told a few guys to knock it off a few times, but never for anything too serious. Some people just need to be told to shut up sometimes so they'll move on to a new conversation.
