Not sure yet. It will be a two way race like always between us and Barca and some team will come out of nowhere and compete. I wonder how Atletico will do since they sold some of their players.

Either way I look forward to the upcoming season.

Barca really signing Rakitic and Suarez for 100M when their biggest weakness is still defense. 2000's era Real Madrid type transfers to be honest. Probably means Sanchez -> Arsenal right?

barca still are weak at fullbacks and CB's so I wouldn't say they'll run away with the league. Mix that with their midfield being iniesta + rakitic+busi and next to no defensive help from their front 3 I think they'll be a bit exposed at the back tbh. But that attack is going to be unrealllll. Watch barca find a way to reduce his ban too... smh

if we pay up we'll get him I think , di marzio said we offered 32M euros while barca want 35-40. But liverpool still have a shot at getting him and if they can convince sanchez then they'll get him cause of the suarez deal.

not with him missing 9 games plus champions league.

Still like Real's chances.

Barca have never been weak up front, thats not their weakness.

James Rodriguez prefers La Liga to Premier League

The World Cup’s current top goalscorer is preparing for Friday night’s quarter-final against hosts Brazil and his impressive tournament has led to increased speculation about his future at club level.

Rodriguez only joined Monaco from Porto in a £34million deal in the summer of 2013 but he was previously linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, while Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest.

The 22-year-old said in a Q&A with adidas: “I have said in the past that I would like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style.

“The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage.

“But I am a Monaco player and I am not thinking about anything like that at the moment. I am now just concentrating on Brazil, which is going to be a wonderful experience for us.”

That's how I felt as an LFC fans... hard to cheer on a player like him no matter how many wins he brings.

looks like they will be reducing Suarez ban. That sounds like good news. Anyone know how long Neymar is out for?

Will also try to post more on this thread so we can help La Liga expand on realgm. This year will be Barca or Real. I don't think Atleti has lost a lot. We shall see who the third team to join us will be.

So you think it is going to be between real and barca even though there is going to be third team and that team wont be the defending champions even though they didnt lose much?

I really think Real Madrid could run away with the title FC Bayern style. If they do bring in Rodriguez as the papers are so claiming, then that is just an amazing squad. Just look at those options...

1. Illarramendi
2. Bale
3. Ronaldo
4. Benzema
5. Kroos
6. Modric
7. Di Maria
8. Xabi

Will they come?
9. Rodriguez
10. Falcao

Should I stay or should I go?
11. Khedira
12.Isco

Imagine how competitive the training sessions would be. How hard you'd have to work to get a match. This squad will survive a season far better than Barcelona's side. Especially with Neymar and Suarez out for so many matches. Rakitic and Song doesn't exactly have the same ring as Rodriguez and Kroos :P .

Atletico Madrid are in fire sale mode and not bringing in anything too "wow" factor. Though Mandzukic could have a 30 goal year, it may not mean a repeat title. Too many pieces being rearranged.

4th place will be an interesting battle. Will Bilbao capitulate in the CL like Sociedad did? That was unfortunate.

Eibar managed to raise the necessary capital to enter La Liga. REJOICE FOR THE LITTLE GUY.

Cordoba and Eibar will struggle mightily to stay up. I think Almeria joins them. There are a lot of likeable stories in La Liga this year. I'm well excited.

I wonder how many goals Vallecano will concede? :)

Did anyone think Barca was running away with the title in 2012-13 after they had just lost in their home ground and added three points to Madrid's 100 point total in 2011-12? :dontknow:
Funny enough, Madrid have been the most stable of the three teams in La Liga, with Atleti doing all sorts of crazy **** and Barca trying to incorporate a new midfielder and another ball-dominant attacker, all the while bringing in 3 new keepers and still not fixing the defense.

Messi is King wrote:I agree that Barca needs to work on their backline but I really thought the underrated injury was losing Valdes last year as Pinto was 100 times worse.

I think having the Chile goalie instead should be much better than Pinto and despite all of Barca's issues last year they had a great chance to win the league on the final day of the season.

Barca can still do very well with Messi/Neymar to offset the delayed return of Suarez.

Which goalie do you guys think will start? The Chile one or Ter Stegen?
