Congratulation...Arsenal winning the Schalke 04 award in the Premier League.

Second throphy of the season.

What are the savings from firing those 55 employees? 2 months of Mesut Özil salary? Lmao.

Yeah

pretty disgusting for a "big 6" club.

Kroenke at it again.

Reports though that the players are furious with the decision, because part of the deal to cut salaries (12,5%) garantied no club personel would loose their jobs.

Hopefully they don't go through with it, but yeah...bad look for the club.

Willian arriving and keeping Aubameyang keeps Arsenal in CL contention for next season without challenging the top 2 at all. Half a million in wages each week for just the two players really shows the difference between being a "big 6" club and not though. Those worksers fired due to covid problems must be feeling bad.

I will never understand how you can spend a large amount of your budget for Willian.

His impact on the offensive side of the pitch is so throughly mediocre given his wage size. Yeah, he does not do a lot of mistakes but that is also because he rarely takes any risks and for a winger simply does not break down the opposing defense often enough (at least for a CL squad).
Last year, he actually had a peak season which was fairly okay but nothing spectacular. Makes sense given he was in a contract year.
This year, I bet he will get back to those 3 goal and 8 assist EPL seasons from the past.

Plus, Arsenal already have a vastly superior player in Pepe at his position.
This whole deal screams bust already.

Pepe does seem underrated by the Arsenal management. As a Leicester fan I do hope that these moves and those of Chelsea lead to discontent among their squads. It's always a difficult balancing act to bring in talent and keep existing players happy. i think it's getting more difficult as players become more and more self-centred. Having said that I do hope that Leicester bring in 4 top class players and a few back-ups to bolster our good but thin squad.

What's the status with Reiss Nelson?
Arsenal planning with him at all?

Mainz could use him on loan with option to buy. Probably have to rob a bank or two before we can buy him, though.

Suffered some injuries last season so wouldn't surprise me if they have him available for loan.

Benfica LB Nuno Tavares and Anderlecht CM Albert Sambi Lokonga look to be Arsenal's first 2 signings as they are reportedly close to being done. Lokonga was on Belgium's preliminary squad/alternate for EURO's. 21 years old. I don't know that he'll be seen as a starter right now, but he's going to get some playing time. Tavares is an offensive-minded LB, also 21. Many have deemed him to not be ready for Premier League, so it's definitely a risk given Tierney's injury history, unfortunately. It was thought they would go after a veteran for backup LB, but they decided to go younger.

So many rumored out's for Arsenal, feels like half of the squad could go lol. The Saliba situation is a continuing headache, looks like another loan spell. The closest to be sold seem to be Xhaka and Bellerin.

The outs so far have been much more interesting than the ins. Xhaka actually looked class in the Euros Guendozi is much better than he showed at Arsenal, and Saliba was seen as the better of the 2 CBs when he was signed and yet Fofana has been incredible at Leicester. I'd love for Leicester to get Saliba on the cheap. Arsenal seem to be a bit of a mess at the moment.

At this point I'd side with saying that Nuno Tavares is most definitely not worth 8M euros. That is a quietly remarkable transfer for Benfica.

Odegaard is a great purchase. Ramsdale is a good keeper but is he coming in as your number 1?

Defensively you still look quite weak and the spirit in the team doesn't seem to be together.

Apparently Ramsdale is going to be first choice.
Leno needs competition, that's clear, but if he's the right choice remains to be seen.

We need to defend as a team, something that's been lacking for years.
Arteta needs everyone on the same page, but I don't know if he's capable...

Did I say anything about your defensive weakness and lack of team spirit?

Well, it's not that hard to see...
