Skills I'll grant you, but movement? I'm not so sure about that. Many of the great European players thrive on intelligent movement and technical ability. I'll always take end-product over skills any day of the week, though. Flash can only get you so far. The players that you mentioned were all indeed very flashy South American players, but also had very strong fundamental games.

Robinho is an outlier among the great players you mentioned, as he's not even a particularly good footballer, so I find his inclusion strange and not supportive of your overall argument. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Messi, all obviously amazing. It's a shame 'dinho's peak was so short.

Benitez was holding back world class players such as Hamez and Herr Kroos. He had to go.

I think Pérez needs to go as well.
This guy's a huge joke and sending away a guy like Ancelotti(who everyone liked and everyon in the football world respects) just to bring in Rafa Benitez was just another dumb move.

But hey, what do you expect of a guy that can't even send a fax on time to finalize a transfer...

Watch some 2014 World Cup games. Killed your boy Pogba in the QF, and then was MOTM in probably the most famous football match of all time.

Had a great first season in Spain until the end where he was tired after Ancelotti always played him because he was/is such a class player.

Bumping from the abyss....

"Danilo had to play too, to rest Dani, and that's it," Zidane said. "I ask the same from them both. I could have changed other players. Nothing to do with Luka, but I had to change something. Then we took off Toni, put in James, you want to see how things will change, nothing else. Today the substitutes did not work, they did not make a difference, for us to score a goal."

Maybe the blood pride is coming out but how is substituting Kroos with 5 mins left going to make a bloody difference? If no one watched the game, one could decipher that he had made changes early in the game. The Isco n James subs were late, James being the much later...

I really want to know whats going on behind the scenes there... James getting shun is surprising but not as Isco getting the same treatment....

Mercgold was praising him to be worth the 30+ mil, though. Even Madrid fans were arguing that its a good price when I said that sum is outrageous for a FB.

Marcelo was horrible too, but he's usually good. He is one of the few creative players on the team. Leaves a lot to be desired defensively, but I'd say he has an overall positive impact on the team.

Danilo on the other hand is trash

Marcelo is the BEST LB in the world without a question.

But if cgf was here he could have said Rodriguez and Baba Rahman are better than him.

Looks like Morata will be staying and Jese will probably go out on loan. It will be interesting to see how we reinforce ourselves in this transfer window for next season, especially with a transfer ban coming up.

I know this thread seems kinda dead but maybe it can be revived. lol

Morata is a great addition

We need James to give back to his 1st year level of play.

We need a LB too
