So last season was a fail. How will we cope with a Neymar-departure?

By signing players who actually want to play well in every effin game regardless of its magnitude unlike some "stars" who shine brightly when they want to showcase themselves to their bidders and just try to make a dribble show in others.

Yeah, the club will be better off in the long run without Neymar.

what about Aubameyang from Dortmund? Not sure if he plays the exact same position as Neymar but I figured more clubs would be trying to sign him.

He always does good for me in FIFA so there's that...

After yesterday's loss to Liverpool, this could also the end of Coutinho. In both games, he disappeared and with that transfer fee you have to expect more from him.
I see a return to a engish club. They have too much money and give him a little bit of him (e.g. ManU).

Yup.. Too bad. Also Dembele has highs highs and lows, more lows actually. They together have cost like 250 million euro...

Messi asking out. He’s even threatening to leave for free. Wow.

Question is, on which club would he have similar impact to Barca?

He'll want a huge payday and doesn't defend. But he's not young any more so he's not making those 30-40 yard runs dribbling past several defenders any more.

He'll want to go to a top club but they all have featured guys who get all the scoring opportunities.

MLS?

There are reports that Messi prefers City.
He also asked Pep about that possibilty a few days ago.

Tbh I think Barca will be improved once Messi is gone.

System is too focussed on Messi and he does not defend. No wonder it does not work in the big games.

They still have great players to work with in Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann, Fati and De Jong.

Losing Messi will help making everyone of those more accountable.

Messi is trying to force a free transfer to City and Barca probably won't go for that.

It would be amazing if City got him just a couple of months after escaping a CL ban for breaching FFP rules.

https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/4167274/man-citys-messi-contract-could-include-new-york-city-fc-clause-sources

How willing are clubs to pay some record transfer fee to get a 33-year old Messi? City would want him since they got killed in the EPL and disappointed in the CL again.

But he doesn't defend and he's going to the "more physical" EPL?

Then maybe in 3 years, he would go to NY in the MLS?
