Casillas
Lahm - Ramos - Pepe - Rodriguez
Xabi Alonso - Fabregas
Robben - James - Ronaldo
Messi

Mostly based on most recent form and I tried to keep injured players out. Lahm being the exception.

It hurts me to say this, but Zidane has no idea. Every player plays or played in the spanish league, yet germany has the CL and the worldchampions.

There are seven Real Madrid players in there. He was just naming his buddies.

Although you'd think he'd blush a bit taking Casillas over Neuer.

There ya go

On a more serious note:

Who the hell gives a **** about those "Best World Squad" stuff thrown out by someone?
There's no such thing as a best XI as there are way too many players to have a clear cut team etc.

Those elections(just like best player) are crap and way more about marketing then anything else.

He shouldn't be over Nueur, but he's actually regained his form these past few months.

Needs more Schar and Drmic or Geis and then you've got it:

Kruse - Reus - Drmic
Raffael
Kramer-Xhaka
Johnson - Dominguez - Schar - Jantschke
Sommer

Or

Kruse --- Reus
Raffael
Kramer -- Xhaka
Geis
Johnson - Dominguez - Schar - Jantschke
Sommer

Well, he couldn't go any lower than WC 2014 right?

He was pretty bad for Madrid as well, especially in set plays. He's actually been pretty darn good the last few weeks though. I thought that he was done for sure, but looks like he still has some juice left.

As great as Neuer has been this year, y'all probably haven't seen Madrid play recently. As embarrassing as Casillas was in the World Cup, Neuer was about as bad in the home leg of the CL semi final this year. Casillas has been on form and even saved two in-regulation penalties in the last 5 days- one in La Liga and one in the club world cup. Neuer is hands down the better keeper but I figured Casillas has picked up form enough. And yeah, the number of RM players should've tipped y'all off Like it's been said above, there's never a clear cut best XI because you'd always end up twisting the formation to suit the players you want, unless you play a boring ass 433

Also, me counts 5 Real Madrid players. Xabi ain't one of us, but he's doing fantastic with Bayern afaik, the heartless bastard.

--------------Neuer
Lahm - Boateng - Pepe - Alaba
---Modric - Alonso - Di Maria
---Robben - Messi - Ronaldo

You could also place Müller, Kroos, Ramos, Godin, Agüero, Lewandowski , Hazard should be included as well, but you can't take them all. And I properly missed several guys as well.

That was a reference to Zidane's team.

Although you should both sport a megahomer's blush.

Cortois

Lahm, Pepe, Ramos, Alaba

Fabregas, Pogba

Hazard, James, Ronaldo

Messi

Chelsea fan

Not like Hazard is a scrub though. In the set up that I have with Ronaldo and Messi on the attack, I think I could use Hazard's playmaking more than Neymar's scoring. Just my preference though

Meh. We're coming off a ridiculous win streak (something like 21 or 22 games straight). Could've probably swapped a CB out for one from another team and maybe put in a different attacker, but what's the point. Ronaldo's better than everyone on the left wing, Robben's been hella productive on the right, Hazard hasn't played as centrally so I went with the next best 10 this year in James, and Messi is Messi. Only real homer move was picking Casillas over Neuer, and like I said, he's on ridiculous form lately, if you'd been watching. Everyone aside from him justifies their placement in the XI with their year-round performance.

Attack-wise, this is the world XI I'd wanna field if I was coaching :dontknow:
