Everton 1 Leicester 1

As always Everton were both boring and lucky. City without Vardy and with N'didi off injured in the first half certainly deserved the points.

Kasper 6.5
Castagne 6.5
Fofana 6.5
Evans 7.5 Soyuncu 6
Justin 7.5
N'Didi 6 Mendy 6
Tielemans 7
Maddison 5.5
Albrighton 6 Under 7.5
Perez 5
Barnes 8

Leicester 1 Leeds 3

Could've gone 2nd but will now drop down the league a place.

It was a good game for the neutral. Both sides created and played attacking football. Leicester didn't have Vardy or Wilf and both were badly missed.

There was talk of Eriksen and Odegaard, then it became Maitland Niles and it looks like we're ending up with Chalobah.

Why?

He's now 26 and can't even make it into an average championship side. Seems a waste of time.

This is our big move in the push for a CL spot?

Fulham 0 Leicester 2

Fulham played a nice game without ever really threatening. Kelechi was great and transformed the attack, Justin keeps excelling and the Central defence was strong and this all with 6 players out including Vardy, N'Didi, Fofana, Castagne and Praet. Back up to 3rd for a while at least.

Kasper 8.5

Wolves 0 Leicester 0

One of those games where we just didn't quite have the edge we needed. Wolves played 3 at the back to nullify the game and in the end that worked.

FA Cup

Leicester 1 Brighton 0

Both teams made 7 or 8 changes for this match and that showed in the first half especially. Players were not on the same wavelength and neither team had a shot on target. The second half was slightly better with each team having a goal disallowed for offside but I think the first shot on target wasn't registered until the 88th minute. In the final seconds of the match when it looked like we'd all have to sit through another 30 minutes of semi-torture, Leicester took a quick corner and Iheanacho on as sub rose superbly and placed the header out of the reach of the GK. Great win :-) and on to the last 8. Worries over an injury to James Justin and "happiness" over an injury to Perez (really hope he doesn't get any more PT for us).

Ward 6
Daley-Campbell 8 (a very good debut for LCFC)
Amartey 7
Soyuncu 8
Justin 7.5
Thomas 5
Ndidi 6 Choudhury 7.5
Tielemans 6.5
Under 6
Vardy 6 Iheanacho 8
Perez 2 Maddison 7

Leicester 3 Liverpool 1

Both teams went into the game with makeshift defences but it was Leicester who allowed their defence to be tested time after time by possibly the deadliest front 3 football has ever seen. The defence held out and looked good until another poor pass - the story of Leicester's first half - allowed Firmino to play a great ball to the guy who likes to fall over to hit a pearl first time.

Great goal, so now Leicester had to attack, and they tore Liverpool apart. Barnes was like a hot knife through butter time after time and Leicester slipped in 3 quick goals which could have been more if Alison hadn't made an almighty save from Vards. Leicester get the 3 points and Pool slip into the pack.

Back in Europe

Slavia Prague 0 Leicester 0

A pretty uneventful match where Prague players rolled around and shouted a lot, Barnes looked great without the end product today. Nacho picked up a yellow for nothing which rules him out of the return match.

Leicester 0 Slavia Prague 2

Rodgers started a much weakened second string against a good team that had rested their players. Slavia deservedly won and I'm surprised how the "experts" thought we were going to win so easily. We started very slowly with no rhythm and never looked good until we brought on our 3 subs but it was too late. And it wasn't because Maddison was out injured, Slavia simply outplayed us and were the better team.

Kasper 4 had a poor night, slow on the ball and inaccurate
Amartey 3.5
Evans 5.5
Soyuncu 4.5
Thomas 4
N'Didi 5.5
Choudhury 5
Tielemans 4
Albrighton 3
Under 4.5
Vardy 4

Ricardo 4.5
Castagne 4
Barnes 5
Tavares 4

pick ourselves up and get ready for Arsenal on Sunday.

Leicester 1 Arsenal 3

Leicester entered the match with some key injuries and having played tired to be eliminated from Europe on Thursday night.
Things just got worse.
we looked tired, got an early goal and then tried to just camp in our own area. Arsenal scored a good header and then got a penalty just before half time.
With Vardy playing injured and Maddison our 3rd top scorer out, we needed Barnes to take control. Then he's down and looks out for a while. Next it was Evans out injured and despite threatening a little we never really had a player that looked like they could score the chances. In fact we just looked very, very tired. Arsenal deserved their win but to be honest they didn't look Europe worthy either.

Kasper 5.5
Thomas 5
Evans 6
Soyuncu 6
Castagne 6
Ricardo 6
N'Didi 5.5
Tielemans 7.5
Barnes 5.5
Iheanacho 4.5
Vardy 5

Albrighton 5
Under 5.5
Amartey 5.5

We're tired and injured and need a fillip to our season. Would be nice to have the international break now. I think it's going to be 3 weeks too late.

Barnes has apparently broken a bone in his knee (or something) needs surgery, will be out a minimum of 6 weeks. Evans having a scan on his calf and lower leg, Vardy has groin problem.

Maybe Diego Costa could be signed and show the league that he's still the man for 10 games with Albrighton and under left to feed him.

Unfortunate for you guys. Extremely unlucky on the injury front all year, hope you guys can still claim a CL spot.

Burnley 1 Leicester 1

We started with a back 3 that contained 2 CDMs and we had 2 more CDMs in front of them. Let a goal in within 4 minutes and still tried to pass out from the back with a group of players with first touches like brick walls. Going forward we looked good but it was N'Didi who put forward a ball that Iheanacho took over his shoulder and volleyed into the net. one of the goals of the season. Second half Burnley came out like last year's Liverpool and deserved to go ahead. we finished strong and hit the post and could have snatched it. 1 point is not enough but better than a loss :-)

Brighton 1 Leicester 2

Another great game for the neutral. Brighton played some fantastic football in the first half and deservedly led through Lallana who was their best player today. We played a back 3 and looked rough, Amartey had a poor first half and I was calling for his replacement and a back 4. Second half we ran them ragged for 25 minutes had 10 minutes where they got back into it and then finished really strong. Tavares debut was decent and he could have had a goal but for a great save. Iheanacho was very good picking out Vards several times and then scoring a cool peach from a great pass by Tielemans. Vards should have had a penalty and then we scored from a corner, yes from a corner, big Dan stooped cooly to place the header in the back of the net. Big win.

Leicester 5 Sheffield U 0.

We got a few players back from injury today. Still no Maddison or Barnes or Justin or Praet but our defence was fairly complete. We decided we'd play all 3 CBs with Ricky and TC WBs allowing the Vardy Iheanacho partnership to continue. Continue it did. Vardy missed a couple of sitters but assisted on 2 and forced an OG.

Kasper 6
Castagne 7
Soyuncu 7.5
Evans 7.5

Ricardo 6.5
N'Didi 8
Tielemans 9
Perez 9
Iheanacho 10
Vardy 8

Albrighton 8
Leshabala 7.5 (Debut)

It was really easy.
