Creativity wasn't the problem in this one, it was **** use of all those chances we had.

Hoffenheim and Hannover will have a tough road out of the relegation zone. Both already 5 points away from playoff spot.

Then again we are coming to Hannover next week. We're gonna build up a poor teams confidence like always.

Dortmund dodged a bullet against Ingolstadt. Should've been down 1-0 but a bad foul call by the ref saved us, and then Auba's first goal was a tad offside (difficult to see), but uncalled.

It's a good win, but too close for comfort.

With Bauer (Ingolstadt) and Max (Augsburg) getting starting time for their clubs, Weiser getting his career back on track at Hertha, and Passlack sticking with BVB's first team; we're starting to see this coming wave of FB talent begin to arrive. Will be very interesting to see how many of these kids stay at the position and who all is moved to the spot; as Arnold should be, and Heinrichs (inexplicably) is being

...but Leverkusen are generally dumb. So why they think a physically underwhelming 10 prospect with beautiful technique/intelligence should be converted to the LB position...that is so dependent on great physical exertion and where they already have an exceptional young talent in Wendell...will remain beyond me. Just like I still don't understand why Calhanoglu isn't allowed a greater influence on matches by playing a Pirlo-type role behind two of Kramer/Kampl/Bender; which would also allow Brandt and Mehmedi to get more starts up front alongside Chicarito/Keissling/Bellarabi. They'd still have a gaping hole at RB; but at least then they'd have the personnel for a new coach (like Favre or Streich) to teach them how to control matches, rather than just grind them out. Hannover are dead in the water; but if Hoppenheim manage to still nab Ziyech in this window, I see them fighting their way back. They're solid enough defensively to reel off some wins against the bottom half of the table as long as they can start clicking up front; and getting a 10 with the talent and ingenuity to replace Firmino as Volland's partner in crime would really help Volland & Vargas/Kramaric start delivering what they have the talent to. Sprinkle in the solid veteran Schmid, plus the kids; Ochs & Amiri; and their difficulties putting the ball into the net during the season-to-date, could disappear in the back half.

The midfield just has no creativity with the likes of Rudy/Schwegler/Polanski running things, so that adding a talented and clever 10 would change so much for that sputtering attack. Without Ziyech I'm much less confident in their ability to close the gap without some help from teams above them falling apart completely.

My guess is that H96, Darmstadt and one of Hoffenheim/Frankurt/Augsburg finish in the bottom 3. As Werder/Stuttgart/Ingolstadt seem to be solidifying themselves in the BuLi/trending better, while HSV and Koln should be far enough ahead to avoid the relegation race without an absolutely horrific run of form.

Bayern - Leverkusen produce the best games in Bundesliga imo, better than Bayern - Dortmund. They match up really well against each other, both historically and especially since Schmidt and Guardiola arrived.
