Choose a team whose style you like and then stick with them.

Personally I can't stand plastic fans.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

choose a popular club that hasnt won for awhile. that way you'll have enough exposure to them without feeling completely dirty about bandwagoning. liverpool is a good option, they have great kits as well.

I don't think you can actually pick your favourite team. It's just there, it happens and it stays like that forever.

The two teams that were always on TV when I was a child (when these things tend to happen; when your favourite team just happens to be picked naturally), were A.C. Milan and Juventus.

Week in, week out, it was always either A.C. Milan or Juventus. I still remember the '92-'95 lineup of A.C. Milan. Then I took a long break from soccer (football), and now I'm kind of being "reintroduced" to it.

I just follow my favourite players and managers around. It's **** but I can't bring myself to become a fan of some random team (of the 10 or so that are consistently competitive in the entire sport).

For example, I've always hated Manure, but I'll be cheering for them this year because they are going to have Jose, Zlatan, and Pogba (my favourite manager and two of my favourite players).

I don't pretend I'm a real fan of these teams though. I just watch for fun. Kind of like how I cheer for GS and SAS in the NBA playoffs (I love the players and coaches on those teams and the systems they run). I'm an actual fan of the Raptors, but I will cheer (not passionately) for those teams to win in the playoffs as well (unless they are playing the Raptors; which will never happen for obvious reasons).

Whatever you do, don't choose AC Milan today. :D :D ...srsly, if you have an emotional connection then ok, but nowadays it's a struggle for a couple of years now. Unless you like to challenge yourself.:)

How can you follow so many teams? Sounds like a full-time job seeing how each one is doing.

I would understand if you had just one team that's yours, and then 3-4 others that casually follow. Say, one team in the Premier League, and then one in each of La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A.

I started to follow West Ham a few years back. My aunt was born to Upton Park so it was a bit obvious for me. We had a couple of rough years, but now it's looking better. Great youth system and a new stadium in place of the old iconic one. Great team if you want to follow an underdog

Check results basically.
Catch some game of them in internet when posible.

Watch the CL/EL games of those teams.

Obviously follow thightly games/news/being fully aware of the roster and roster changes only Atletico and Zaragoza, the team in the city going to the stadium every now and then.

What do you like? Do you like to see 11 players pressing, running all the time and with big nuts? Atletico.
Do you like to see a team that try to have the ball as many as possible where the 11 players are important in Offence ? Barcelona or Bayern
Do you want to see a league that are very competitive but the level is lower? One team from the Premier. I would choose Man C. Man U. or Chelsea. Liverpool and Arsenal aren't good enough.
