Interesting tactical display by Pep and City so far. Walker and Delph are playing tucked in at times, like standard wide midfielders. It resembles how he sometimes set Bayern up with Alaba and Rafinha.

Silva having an almost complete free reign of the midfield thanks to their numbers. Interested to see how Chelsea will respond.

Rarely see Chelsea played off the park like that at Stamford Bridge.

Excellent tactical display and performance by City. They look like early favourites, and with their squad depth things are looking ominous.

Liverpool look bereft of ideas overall

Is Klopp's mask slipping?

The question is not when are they going to win, the question is when are they going to score.

Sako as a CAM for Wolverhamption is great... striker in the PL... not so much.

Seriously, they should be putting in a bid for Luan from Gremio. Lozano just joined his club, but they might offer enough for his club to flip him this winter.

When will defenders realise that if they could pass a ball they would be midfielders and if they could dribble and shoot they'd be attackers?

I wish more defenders would think like Huth. I'm a defender, I'm going to defend and clear the ball. Then their teammates also think like that and don't keep passing the ball backwards to defenders in tight situations and instead move the ball forward.

This modern idea of passing around in the back 4 (5 with the goalkeeper) isn't adding anything to the game and too often ends in them losing the ball (or one of them hoofing a panicked pass).
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Kind of glad that this Liverpool vs. United match has been crap after the Sky hype. They had a kickoff countdown a week ago ffs.

Worst I've seen United play since LVG.

It was like watching Liverpool vs. a league one side. One shot on goal in the full 90. Pisspoor by United.

Almost identical to last year at Anfield.

First Pique, Boateng and now Stones. Pep Guardiola creating another great CB. Told you lads last year and you laughed.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

I would be stunned if City don't win it this year. They look the best team by a mile.

Could be a tough year for Chelsea. More matches for Chelsea = more injuries for key players unlike last season.

Maybe a turning point for Woy and Palace. There are many worse sides in the league when Zaha, Puncheon and Cabaye are playing well.

It is not that, simply their board made an awful summer campaign and now they pay the consequence. Chelsea is probably weaker (but a little deeper) than last year.

Looking like an excellent weekend of results for Spurs, City winning aside.

Watford up to 4th with that last minute Cleverley winner.

Shocking from Arsenal, honestly.

Richarlison will probably get a retrospective ban now for diving but who cares ? Changed the game for his team and got em 3 points. Bring on VAR man
