Liverpool was the better team in the 180' and deserved to go through, but to not give us the penalty+red card on Arnold (and before the ref signaled a wrong offside on Dzeko which later was fouled by Karius in the box) when there were still 30' minutes is disgraceful.

Yes, I know the penalty in the end was generous, but give us what we deserved and we could've been 3-2 in Rome with 30 minutes to play, I think it could've gone differently.

Wouldn't surprise me if Roma won 3-0.

Wasn't that bad a guess.

Are you blind? Give me the penalty and the red card on the 2-2 with 30' to go, if the Arnold save happened against Liverpool you and other Liverpool fans would've cried for ages against the "mafia".

Roma was dominated over two legs. Just like City were dominated over two legs. You were gifted penalty in the first leg, the funniest OG of all time, Sadio deserved a peno last night. Aggregate flatters to deceive as Liverpool could've cared less during the last 20 minutes of each game.

Fair play I don't want to get in a back and forth. I actually like Roma.

But there still will be a lot of discussions even with VAR. For example in handball situations. Or Penalty situations like Suarez last year against PSG. Conspiracy theorists will go mad.

World Cup will be a lot of fun too.

Handball rules are not rocket science.

Are you certain of that? Milner was called for a handball in the first leg against Roma yet Marcelo escaped one in the second leg with Bayern Munich.

The general rule is that the handball alters a clear occasion (like TAA yesterday), and the voluntarity in most cases depends if the arm is attached to the body (Marcelo had his arm elongated).

Calling these handballs in real time when they happen very quickly is difficult. Var could help. Conspiracy theorists already go mad

And with that said,
The 2002 World Cup was surely fixed in favor of S.Korea

If the VAR "works" like it does in the BL, it really isn't helpful at all. Only adds chaos.

Roma got screwed on the handball by TAA. That was a clear miss by the ref.

That said, the scissor tackle on Mane was ridiculous. That's a straight red. The push on Mane should have been a penalty against Roma, but it wasn't super straightforward.

Regardless, at the end of the day, if every questionable decision goes in Roma's favor, then there would have been a tie. If every questionable decision goes for Liverpool, they win the series by 4 or more goals. Liverpool going through is fair.
