Technically you're the thread owner as I merged the posts you guys made in the PL thread in here, and they pre-date my OP.

Maybe that's the trick I'll need to use in the future.

Great win for us.

Nacho is a clinical finisher and the new boy Diabaté looks like he's our new lower French league find.

Spurs cling on for a replay despite a truly godawful performance but Liverpool are out, even with the VAR. Not a bad day overall.

Swansea and Leicester will be tough if it plays out that way but crazy how the top teams avoid each other again. Similar to last year.

Go unbeaten against United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus... lose to Rochdale?

We'll see how the second half goes.

Amazing that the "big 6" teams fail to draw each other again, as in the League cip and last year's FA Cup. Not suggesting a conspiracy merely find it extraordinary.

It was soft, but blame the refs for giving those

One thing's for sure, tonight Aguero hit a fan and manhandled the ref, Pep refused to do any post-game interviews and screamed at the refs like a child, and their fans tried to take apart Wigan's ground like they were Scotland, but the press will still be going on about Alli.

And city fans will just point to Dele's bad tackle on DeBruyne

Shambolic game between Spurs/Rochdale. Completely validating conspiracy theorists thinking that refs are purposely making VAR bad so that it wont be implemented wider.

I think the reaction of Pochetino and the players was ridiculous. We have VAR. everyone knows that every goal and penalty call is checked. No announcement to that effect is needed. It takes whatever time it takes. Enough with the theatrics.

Lamela should have been off for that foul after already being booked. It would have made for a good finish to the game. Additions were poor and spurs were lucky that the game wasn't abandoned.

The commentator was sickeningly spurs biased. I understand that it was the same in 2016 for Leicester but this year spurs are the media darlings.

For the Spurs fans here how long do you think it will take the spurs supporters to turn on the team if they don't win anything? Football (and its fans) have become crazy with regards to the need for trophies. I'd have thought that a top 4 and CL spot will be good enough for Spurs supporters this season but do you think a 5th or 6th next season and no Cup trophy will result in the Chelsea/Manure scenarios? Same question for Liverpool fans really.

They are the 2 of the "big 6" who haven't won anything recently and their fans expectations are becoming onerous. Personally I think spurs have been doing exceptionally well and should be delighted with top 4 and QFs in the CL but I wonder if you think the worm could turn next season or whether Spurs fans are above that.

That game was ridiculous though. Almost an advertisement for not having VAR. The game is done and dusted 30 min without those calls and delays were way too long.

I don't think Spurs supporters would ever turn on the current team unless they lose someone like Kane or Poch or multiple top for stupid reasons. Most spurs fans are generally are pretty level headed in terms of what we want the team to do. The whole trophies thing is media/other fan driven trash that they keep throwing out there to downgrade the accomplishments of individual players and the team as a whole. Considering where the team was 2 years ago and the fact that we aren't blowing 50+M on multiple players but are at this level of success has most fans ecstatic. The trophies will come, the luck in terms of getting them will eventually come through.
